Welcome aboard! I think the "big" trade will probably be with a team that has not been extensively discussed. The Reds don't strike me as a team that wants to trade in-division and I think they might be well off if they unload Aurilia, LaRue, Milton, Ortiz, and Casey in terms of contracts. Add some depth to the farm system and have the cash to re-sign guys like Dunn and Kearns down the line. They should only sell off their top young guys if they get a big return on prospects.

Hm, I thought his start looked kinda familiar, especially now that I know he has asthma. Anyone else remember those days when Matt Clement would trot out to the mound, not have his best stuff, have some control issues, but still pitch well enough to keep the opposition held down, then come out before looking like he was going to drop dead on the field? Same thing with Jerome, imo. :D

Mateo with another solid outing. I'm curious to see how he progresses as the season goes on.

I like Gomes a lot and think he's next in line behind Adam Dunn in the, "Most misunderstood players in baseball" group. Also, Jason was a former pitcher. To have a better arm than him is quite impressive!

What did he say this time? They did a "Sounds of the Game" with Ryan Dempster in the bullpen going into game commentator mode with a really high and nasal voice talking about David Eckstein EXACTLY how Joe Buck would talk about him. Buck got really teed off and tried to mimic that voice for some weird reason and ended up sounding like a massive fool.

Okay, Demps cracked me up. He was ripping on Buck and McCarver and both of them are now pretty livid. Bwahahahahahahahaha!
