  2. I think it depends on what his velocity looks like by the end of the month. If he's still in the 80s, then the Cubs might as well hang onto him and see what happens. If he's showing signs of improvement and stamina by month's end, I think a team might be willing to fork over a good prospect for him. Teams are always desperate for starters and will overpay. Frankly, I think the guy is an injury waiting to happen. His delivery is even more screwed up than Wood's. Anything this team can get out of him, be it a prospect or a draft pick, should be taken.
  3. Notes: Boise is up 4-0 in the 6th. Colvin has his first HR of the year. Peoria lost 8-3. Weber got shelled and Norwood hit his 10th HR of the year. West Tenn is winning 3-1 in the 9th. Juan Mateo went 7 strong giving up only 1 ER. Iowa won 8-0. Pie went 2/4 with a walk, O'Malley went 8 scoreless.
  4. Huseby and Rundle talk. We're officially in garbage time.
  5. Dusty took Z out!!!!!!!
  6. Z skipped back to the dugout, haha. Walker apparently just found out Matos was DFA'd and decided to rub it in.
  7. Z's head nearly exploded when he K'd Gross.
  8. Dusty's on a mission to save his job, pitcher abuse be damned.
  9. He'll go complete unless disaster happens. I smell 130+ pitches.
  10. I'm guessing pop-up followed by a double play.
  11. I hired you people to try to get a little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas City *bleeps*!
  12. Real bunt, no idea if it was Jock's decision.
  13. Gee Jim, still think you should have traded Walker for him? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6503
  14. See, Brenly being able to call that kind of play and say it's a good idea is pretty good evidence for why he shouldn't be brought in to manage this team.
  15. So...I'm guessing that was the third or fourth time Jock has successfully laid down a bunt in play in his life?
  16. Gotta love that career .260/.295/.337 line. He's perfect for batting second!
  17. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, rainy season in Florida. Daytona got PPD...again.
  18. They have a few guys who are decent, but no one projects as a superstar. C George Kottaras is the best guy down there. He's a very good hitter, from what I can tell; no idea about his defense, though. LHP Sean Thompson and OF Drew Macias (no relation) both project to be okay guys at the ML level.
  19. Just imagine the pandemonium on this board if Dusty had accepted that extension. Holy wow.
