  1. Motorboating can make a man exhausted.
  2. of course, whether that happens or not remains to be seen. I'm pretty much at the point where I hope none of the promising young players are called up to this team. I'd rather not see what Clines, Sarge, and Baker can do to Eric Patterson and Felix Pie.
  3. I'm going to keep ragging on him to improve that IsoD just because I can. :P Still, considering how badly he started out the year, he's been playing balls to the wall since then.
  4. 3/3 with a walk so far today. :D
  5. Because this team is horrible and has no shot at the playoffs, much less a .500 record whatsoever? Because Neifi is nothing more than an overrated piece of trash who doesn't deserve anything resembling the contract Hendry foolishly threw at him? Let Cedeno work through his struggles. If he still is playing horrible at the end of the year, boohoo, play some one with even a vague future in his place like Ryan Theriot instead. Neifi Perez is terrible. He's one of the worst players in the history of the game for crying out loud! I don't care how hot he is or if looking upon his visage cures all known diseases; the man shouldn't be starting over anyone with even a mediocre ceiling.
  6. BOYCOTT WRIGLEY FIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way ahead of you kid-o. I haven't gone to a single game all year, much less bought any Cubs merchandise.
  7. If Dusty's back in 2007, I will give thought to giving up on this team altogether. It will show that this organization has no commitment to winning a World Series, no commitment to improving the organizational philosophy, and a complete blindness when it comes to the competency and accountability. As long as the monkeys sell out Wrigley every year, they could care less. I'm tired of empty excuses. I'm tired of random double switches that make no sense. I'm tired of this organization claiming every castoff and piece of absolute trash they pick up is gold. I'm tired of missing out on big name free agents like Miguel Tejada, Vlad Guerrero, Carlos Beltran, and just about everyone else. I can't take much more of this, needless to say.
  8. 96 mph fastball on the noggin-knocker, from what I heard.
  9. The season is lost. Frankly, we should continue trotting this guy out every fifth day for the rest of the season no matter how bad he is. I don't care about his current effectiveness or whatever, but if he can't turn in a good start or two by the end of the season, then he can be shipped out. This team gains NOTHING by starting Rusch or Phil Norton or any other overrated schmuck in his place.
  10. I love how the camera immediately went to Larry when Brenly was talking about Hill's struggles after the first.
  11. While his numbers have declined at AAA, I really like Brad Snyder. If the Cubs were to deal with the Indians, I'd really like to see him included in a package.
  12. Seconded. The faster we get this thing over with, the sooner we can get to trading and whatnot!

  18. Bit of a head-scratcher, but whatever. Maybe we can con some one into taking Neifi.
  19. Who takes Petrick's place? Are they going to reactivate Muldowney?

  21. Into a strange new world, into the after All your tears might find you've fallen too far Take another look, take another ride Can't we make them leave the hate behind And I still believe in nothing Will we ever see the shape of tomorrow? Into the empty storm, into the formless loss of hope, Where we can forget the game And I still believe in nothing Will we ever see the cure for our sorrow Nothing is sacred when no one is saved Nothing's forever so count your days Nothing is final and no one is real Pray for tomorrow and find you're empty still Nothing Bonus points to all of you who recognize this song without having to look it up. 8) \m/
  22. He last pitched on July 21st and had his best outing of the season. As of right now, he should be scheduled to pitch tomorrow's game at Spokane.
