  1. I'm wavering on this one. I think Holliday probably did not score, but what happened with his left hand is obscured in some of the camera angles. It looks like he might have gotten it under Barrett's foot and got stepped on, but I can't tell for sure one way or another.
  2. 2 outs, runner on 1B. /nitpick any runner still on first with that rainbow throw and the catcher dropping the ball should be shot. Good call.
  3. The only way I can see Holliday being safe is if his left hand managed to get under Barrett's foot on the side. There's a point where Barrett lifts his foot up a bit over home plate (I think) and then brings it back down. It's hard to tell if Holliday's hand was blocked by it or got under it. It's a stretch, though.
  4. It'll go down in baseball lore, that's for damn sure.
  5. Wowowowowowowowowowow. This is going to be a huge issue tomorrow morning. Wow.
  6. He got smacked in the mouth either by the ball or Barrett's shinguard. Wow.
  7. After watching these Rockies, all I can say is that their offense is something else. Wow. This is an awesome game.
  8. I want to beat up that dinosaur thing behind home plate.
  9. Yeah, but you have all these old-timers complaining about how it's not in the spirit of the game. Buncha BS. The way I see it, baseball needs it for homeruns, foul balls, and plays at bases. Most umpires don't screw up, but when you have things such as the Denkinger Incident looming over baseball lore, instant replay would make life better.
  10. For those of you with young kids who pitch, watch Hoffman's mechanics. What he does with his glove is a HUGE no-no.
  11. Hoffman always looks like he's throwing faster than the radar gun says.
  12. Brocail slipped when he threw to first. He had to take a few warmup pitches before saying he was okay.
  13. The difference here is Black's bullpen is leaps and bounds better than Yost's. Brocail is pretty darn good.
  14. Hell, I'd settle for Dante Bichette right about now. Vinny Castilla!
