  1. If Marquis is still sick tomorrow, then Zambrano should start, meaning we'll probably see Blanco behind the dish.
  2. I think we'll play tonight. Stopped raining about 1 and the field has drained. As long as it doesnt rain again we should get it started on time... Keep your fingers crossed. There's one more band of severe storms headed toward Peoria's general direction in the next 2-3 hours, but with any luck, it'll miss.
  3. Your screen name horrifies me...but welcome aboard!
  4. Yeti looks exactly like I'd expect him to look.
  5. Given how bad the weather has been here, we might see Peoria get PPD again tonight.
  6. Wasn't it 2004 that saw a really bad hurricane season out in Daytona? I want to say that was the year Jackie Robinson Stadium got pretty badly damaged.

  8. You know that's one sign of the apocalypse, right? I think he just doubled his walk total from last season.
  9. Why not both? We can do a piggyback system and it won't hurt, imo. I'm not sure if you're joking, but based on both of their past performances on days when we need them to go deep to protect a taxed bullpen, it wouldn't be such a bad idea. Half joking, half serious. I don't know why more teams in the majors do it more often, but, at the same time, I'd imagine it would be a bit of a pain to time things like warming up properly.
  10. Why not both? We can do a piggyback system and it won't hurt, imo.
  11. But he'll probably be facing Jason Marquis and a tapped Cubs pen...so.. Their bullpen is just as shot as our own is. I'm more worried about the Philadelphia series at this point.
  12. I have yet to decide how much I hate the bullpen.
  13. This just in: Dae-Eun Rhee is awesome. 5 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 7/0 K/BB so far.
  14. Z will forever be my all-time favorite Cub if he comes through here.
  15. Quick, post overreactions and ridiculous assertions about Kerry Wood's manhood here!
  16. This is Marmol's fourth straight game, to boot.
  17. Oddly enough, Duke has 3 fewer pitches than Dempster so far.
