he's basically a non-prospect and is too old for that league, but hey, at least he's giving them really good production. Pretty much, considering that most of Daytona's prospects are not exactly known for their hitting prowess. He might be one of those late bloomer types, but he's been in this system since 2001 and this is his fourth go-round in Daytona. The guy is still 25, in spite of all that.

Chirinos is a HR away from the cycle in Game 1 of Daytona's DH.

He was one of the late round guys who intrigued me. Lots of great tools and physical gifts, but not much in the way of production. I'm all in favor of those kinds of guys at that point in the draft.
