  1. I think we've exhausted this discussion fairly effectively and no one's going to be changing their minds any time soon. Good chat, though! One final point about BABIP. Usually the average BABIP gets higher and higher the further down you go into the majors. Something like .353 might seem really out of whack in the majors, it doesn't deviate nearly as much at Low A. I can't remember what the exact numbers are on a level by level basis, but if I find them I'll post them.
  2. Time for Bradley to K looking on a borderline pitch.
  3. This is one of those seasons where the Cubs could lose ten straight and the rest of the Central would go 2-8 at best over the same stretch.
  4. With this year's Cubs team, there's no other realistic possiblity The only other possibilities involve losing 3-1, 4-1, 5-1, 6-1, etc...
  5. Yunel Escobar is what I hoped Ronny Cedeno would become.
  6. He once knocked a satellite out of orbit on a HR.
  7. Pulled up too early on the ball bouncing towards him in the OF, causing the ball to go past him.
  8. Zambrano sang Take Me Out to the Ball Game?
  9. The Coors commercial followed by the Howie Long Chevy commercial made me wish Chapter 7 on both companies.
  10. I would have preferred Zambrano going Sunday rather than today with Samardzija or Hart going today. Depending on how the STL series went, you could have had Zambrano go on four days' rest the day before the ASB or given Z some extended time off with the break. Even if he went on four days rest against STL, the Cubs could have used the extra leeway to give Z an extra day or two off since they'd have flexibility with the rotation. However, that's neither here nor there. maybe i'm not reading this right (haven't had my coffee yet), but the only way Z could pitch on four days rest against STL is if he pitched last night. If we waited until today, four days rest would line him up for Monday. Argh, I forgot the four game series ended with a double header. #-o
  11. He was on the top step of the dugout arguing with the umps.
  12. Hawk Harrelson would have gone full blown psycho on that call.
  13. I'm not getting a great feeling about this one. Kevin Hart always made me leery.
  14. Dear Lord, is this woman going to the brothel after this game is over? What the hell is she wearing under her jacket?
