  1. This seems to be a common trend that we've had problems with for many years. Remember how much fun it was to watch Moises Alou on the basepaths?
  2. Hit & run was on with Bradley. Those were two close pitches on 3-2.
  3. He's a short scrappy hustley type. He fits the leadoff hitter mold.
  4. My memory is that he's not quite as good as Strasburg, but assuming he defected and signed this year, he'd probably be the #2 prospect in baseball at year's end. So, he is not one of the prospects from Cuba who would go straight to the majors Apparently he needs a bit of refinement, but my guess is that he wouldn't stay in the minors very long.
  5. My memory is that he's not quite as good as Strasburg, but assuming he defected and signed this year, he'd probably be the #2 prospect in baseball at year's end.
  6. Holy crap! How much would he fetch in the open market?
  7. Pretty much. He went nuts with that stuff when he was actually managing. That and he committed some serious abuse with Schilling and Johnson during the WS season.
  8. He'd be a good addition to a shaky bullpen, but this move makes no sense without a bat. When you're bottom 26th in runs scored and 6th in runs allowed, your needs are kind of obvious.

  10. Yeah, what's with the anemic crowd here tonight? Fans are just like the team. \:D/ That holds equally true for both teams. :(
  11. Come back soon, Gooz! The starter went one inning? that sucks. He's a bullpen guy; no need to make him go any longer than he has to go.
  12. He's no longer listed on Boise's roster. Looks like they moved up Matt Williams and Corey Martin from the AZ League.
  13. Macias can though Harrison is the best option and Macias is better in CF. I bet we see some Flaherty at third unless our new guy Fitzgerald can play 3rd. Maybe have Flaherty at 3rd, Lake at SS and Fitzgerald at 2b?? You guys got Derrick Fitzgerald? Nifty. He was doing very well down in Mesa, so it's nice to see him jumped over Boise. Who came up to replace Carpenter?

  15. We already have one thread about this man's dumb comments following the series. We don't need another.
  16. Flaherty's peripherals tell me he'll be fine. The guy's hitting for a decent amount of power and is maintaining solid walk and strikeout numbers. Plus, he's managed not to be horrifically incompetent at SS like many of us were predicting him to be. Granted, I still think he'll have to be moved off of the position, but it seems like defense won't be much of a problem with him when he does. He's still in my Top 15 FWIW. not sure how accurate it is, but according to firstinning, his LD% is 9. 9.7% according to Minor League Splits. That .257 BABIP isn't going to last.
  17. Peoria still has a strong group of prospects down there. Some position prospects to watch (since I don't know who'll be starting)... IF Junior Lake IF Ryan Flaherty OF Kyler Burke UT Josh Harrison C Michael Brenly They also have a number of intriguing pitchers, such as Alberto Cabrera, Jeff Beliveau, Chris Archer, Justin Bristow, Chris Huseby, and Ryan Buchter.
