  1. Castro's back in the Daytona lineup. McDaniel was solid, going 5, walking 2, striking out 7, and giving up one run.
  2. They're under way. Reed Johnson and A-Ram didn't start, although Reed Johnson did get a PH appearance. I'm guessing the Cubs are being cautious with the wet grounds and rain. Aramis started at DH and is 0-1 with a walk. Reed took a walk too. Ahhhhhh, right. I saw Flaherty at 3B and thought they gave Rammy the day off, but forgot he could have been DHing. That makes sense.

  4. I'm going to throw out a 2008 draftee that's quietly been putting up good numbers in Daytona. He hasn't been setting the world on fire and my gut is that his future is as a utilityman (2B/3B), but nevertheless, he's been consistent and effective at the plate and in the field. Plus, as a left hander, we know he's an organizational favorite. Jake Opitz A .290/.352/.438 line with a 25/15 K/BB ratio isn't too shabby, especially for a 12th rounder senior sign.
  5. Apparently the Cubs signed Casey Fossum to a minor league deal. Link
  6. The move that didn't make sense to me was IBBing Bradley. He's been making terrible contact lately.
  7. Not earth-shattering news, but nevertheless: Link

  10. I hate people who wear Cardinals gear to Cubs games when they're not playing the Cardinals.
  11. Some of the fun vacuums have been unplugged recently, as it was.
  12. We all remember the miracle of Wrigleyville when Frat Boy Jesus cured the drunk of his hangover, allowing him to rally, do another few shots, and take home a drunk Lincoln Park trixie that night.
  13. I dont think you can classify Fox as gritty can you? Fox is too fat for that group. Too much power, too. Hell, Theriot is in danger of de-gritting himself. That sounds umm interesting... Sounds like he finally took a shower after a few months.
  14. That sounds like the secret identity of an electricity-themed superhero.
  15. I dont think you can classify Fox as gritty can you? Fox is too fat for that group. His ability to blind with his skin color works in his favor for admission into that group. Hoffpauir should also be on that list.
  16. What is the question? Who is the dog's ass that the sun is shining on right now? There we go.
  17. Been awhile since we had a guy in baseball named Sparky.
  18. I'm guessing we'll see Fuld in CF tomorrow.
