  1. This is becoming hilarious in a hurry.
  2. Crap ending to SDSU/Tennessee. Bleh.
  3. Not exactly a fan of SDSU's strategy here. Down 1 with about 30 seconds left and Tennessee ball? A foul wouldn't be the worst idea there.
  4. My hope is that he turns it around enough that the Cubs can trade him at the deadline or in the offseason for a useful prospect or two without eating salary.
  5. that's exactly what I have, which means you should change it if you have any money on it I don't, although if you're in the NSBB pool, that might make life interesting.
  6. My Final Four is Kansas, Kentucky, Kansas State, and Baylor. I've got Kansas winning it all over Kentucky.
  7. I am trying hard to convince myself to pick us over Dook. It would suck big time if we did and then lost to Baylor in the Elite 8, but I honestly think Notre Dame will knock them off in round 2. Just cut out the middleman like I did and have Louisville take Duke out. :D
  8. If Theriot and Fukudome were hitting in the top 2 spots in the lineup, you might as well hit Theriot first to avoid all of the double plays he'd ground into with Fukudome on base. Possibly, but I'm not looking forward to the hit & runs Lou will be tempted to call with Theriot on base and Fukudome at the plate.
  9. On February 15, BA had him as the #3 college player in his class behind Anthony Rendon and Gerrit Cole. He sounds like a potential Top 10 pick.
  10. And...here...we...go...
  11. Florida in? Whaaaaa?
  12. I could see you beating Kentucky. If you keep playing like a team and don't go back to the Luke Harangody chucking show. I could see it. I could also see Kentucky beating us by 40. That sounds true of any team Kentucky plays.
  13. I like this bracket a lot.
  14. No real surprises so far.
  15. Not going to happen, but a man can dream. Cardinals to trade Pujols to Phillies for Ryan Howard?
  16. Apparently top White Sox prospect and former LSU star Jared Mitchell tore a tendon in his left ankle and may be out for the season. Ouch.
  17. It's a week old, but it went unnoticed when Muskat posted this. Link
  18. Estrada in for Milwaukee. Millar PHing and gets HBP. Fuld lays down a sac bunt, Millar advances to 2B. Castro hits a dribbler down the 3B line and gets the IF single. Millar safe at 3B. Estrada nearly picked off Castro on what was a blatant balk. Hoffpauir strikes out, Castro going on the swing, gets in safely at 2B...and overslides the bag, getting tagged out. I've got some work to do, so I'm going to duck out.
  19. Coleman in for the third straight inning. Weird. Kottaras doubles. First out is a popout to Castro, who's in at SS. Coleman pulled. New pitcher (Marcos Mateo) coming in for the Cubs. Salome flies out to Fuld for the second out. Gomez lines out to left for the third out.
  20. Halama in for the Brewers. Soriano Ks swinging. Pat apparently thinks the Cubs are playing Minnesota. Fontenot flies out to left. Soto Ks swinging.
  21. Coleman still pitching. Strikes out the first batter. Fielder grounds out to 1B for out #2. Edmonds HBP. RBI double for Jody Gerut off the wall, Edmonds beats the tag. 3-3 tie. Surprisingly, Ron knows who Josh Vitters is. Flyout for out #3.
  22. Theriot leads off with a well-hit ball to LF, Edmonds makes it close, but Theriot gets in with a double. Fukudome BBs. Lee with a lineout to LF for the first out. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand boredom is setting in for Pat & Ron as they discuss sprained knees and LaTroy Hawkins pitching to Jonathan Lucroy. Ramirez pops out to 1B for the second out. Byrd with a DEEP fly out. Gomez gloved it, crashed into the wall, juggles the ball, and hangs on for the out.
  23. Casey Coleman in for the Cubs. Neat. First out (Heather? Heether?) is a broken bat groundout for the first out. LuCroy with a pop out to right for the second out. PH George Kottaras (I think) BBs. Someone singled, runners at the corners. Deep flyout to RF for the third out.
  24. Vargas in for Milwaukee. Fontenot flies out to LF for the first out. Soto strikes out looking for the second out. LaHair, PHing for Wells, flies out for the third out.
