  1. It's actually pretty good. He does a fairly reasonable job of explaining certain stats plus he gives shoutouts to places like Fan Graphs and Baseball Prospectus.
  2. I think Packers-Vikings increased as a rivalry this past year because of Brett Favre, but on the whole Bears-Packers is the biggest rivalry in the NFC North and it isn't even close. Honestly I think only Bears fans think that. I doubt you'd find many Packers fans who'd agree, and I'd say that goes back before Favre jumped ship. Yep. The Packers fans I knew at UW-Madison unanimously thought their main rival was the Vikings. Considering the Packers beat the Bears like a drum throughout a good chunk of the 90s and 00s, and also considering the Vikings were much more competitive against the Packers over that stretch, a lot of Packers fans don't see the Bears as being on nearly the same level as the Vikings.
  3. That's pretty much expected with a bullpen composed of pitchers without major league experience. However, that may not be a bad thing for the future. If everyone stinks, the Cubs know they'll need to be active next offseason. If one or two guys emerge, that should give the bullpen some stability and also keep Lou from using Marmol way too freaking much.
  4. I can't wait for the inevitable article when the Cubs are 6 games out of first place in the summer, detailing how the Cubs would have been a competitor if only they had Kevin Millar on the roster. Odds are, Phil Rogers will be the one to write it.
  5. Considering their double OT game with Xavier, it's pretty damn impressive K-State was even in this one.
  6. That was a really bizarre sequence of events.
  7. This game is hilarious. It's like both teams have nothing left in the tank, but keep fighting.
  8. This makes up for Gus having decidedly mediocre first and second round games.
  9. OH MY [expletive] GOD!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?1?!?!?
  10. wowowowowowowowowowowowowow
  11. That's the kind of speculation I'd dismiss out of hand, but I'd also admit that it wouldn't surprise me.
  12. Xavier/KSU...yeowsa. This finish might get hairy.
  13. Is that John Wall? It looks like John Wall. It's probably him.
  14. The jokes off this are limitless. He drives hard annnnd scores, he explodes towards the hole ... etc. The back door pass. Heartbreak city!
  15. OMC just emailed me his pick. Sean Lee, ILB, Penn State
  16. I've always wondered how an OT system would look if you kept it sudden death and abolished field goals.
  17. Hell of a turnaround for Purdue from their dismal showing in the Big Ten Tournament. Very impressive.
  18. Does CBS even know what split screen is? The affiliate here didn't show the end of the Xavier/Pitt game.
  19. Xavier's taking it to Pitt.
  20. This makes me feel slightly less bad about Wisconsin.
  21. Wisconsin's playing its sloppiest game in a long time. What a far cry from that awesome win over Duke.
  22. Bo Ryan got T'd up, which should motivate the Badgers as much as Lou Piniella getting thrown out motivated the Cubs last year.
  23. Leuer is the only one who's bothered to show up today. This is really ticking me off. STOP IT WITH THOSE STUPID FOULS
  24. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)
  25. You have to be kidding me.
