He throws plenty hard without them. Plus, it must be hella hard to steal on him. A righty out of the pen in this age who can't break 90? It's intentional; he's primarily a sinker/change pitcher. When he came over from the Yankees, he reportedly could throw in the low 90s without much trouble, but he'd lose a lot of movement. -
