  1. I heard Carrie posts here under a pseudonym. Magdal Weirdly enough, that was the first name that came to mind for me, too.
  2. Speaking of Guyer, does anyone know what happened to him? He was pulled before the top of the second.

  4. That sounds about right. Plus, frankly, I'd rather not have a front office shakeup prior to the draft and trade deadline.

  8. Samardzija pitched a perfect inning and two thirds, stranding three inherited runners in the process. :-s
  9. I see Castro woke up from his brief slump. He's 3/4 with a double so far today.
  10. Hung-Wen Chen got the start for Tennessee. Not much has happened in that game or the Iowa game so far.

  13. He was hitting way over his head and was due for a correction at some point. Hopefully he'll use the slump to lay off more pitches, take a few more walks, and make the adjustments he needs to make. With any luck, he'll continue showing that his power surge wasn't a fluke.
  14. Only one game tonight since the I-Cubs got PPD.

  18. Alright, enough straying from the topic of how less than a month of ABs has definitively shown that Albert Pujols is on the decline and will soon be released.
  19. LHP Scott Maine to Tennessee LHP Jeremy Papelbon to the DL
  20. Yeah, really nothing to hang your hat on from a big day. Bummer. I'm actually really happy to see Cashner go 7 innings and throw nearly 100 pitches. Considering he struck out two batters in his last inning, it seems like he was able to keep his stuff at that late stage of the game. His performance wasn't spectacular, but it was a positive sign.
  21. Part of me wants to nuke this thread. Another part of me wants to sticky it. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...choices, choices...

  23. There have been a lot of nights where the GO-FO and Ks don't add up to the IP for pitchers. When I've done some digging, it's because they MiLB longer count lineouts in tallying GO-FO.
