  1. If I ever make a billion dollars, I'm investing in anyone who can invent a TV that allows you to mute sports broadcasters. Hearing just the action on the field would be so much better than this.
  2. Great play by DeWitt! Too bad we couldn't see it. #-o

  4. Phil Rogers floated this idea in his latest column.
  5. I don't really blame them for giving Molina a standing ovation. Heck, I would have done the same for Kyle Farnsworth in his first Wrigley appearance after he beat the heck out of Paul Wilson. Sorry, giving a standing ovation that lasts until the pitch comes in and then another one for his second at bat for starting to jaw with someone at home plate is stupid. I saw a lot of stupid today. I said that after the first standing ovation. The second one was incredibly stupid.

  7. Is it wrong that there's a slightly twisted part of me hoping for a 100 loss season?
  8. Thomas Diamond is kinda mediocre. Good thing the Cubs converted Cashner to the pen!

  10. Aw, crap. Lee and Castro were coming up lame coming home on that one.
  11. Baker tweaked his back and is day to day. Woo Castro!
  12. I'm actually glad DeWitt is getting time at 3B. I've always felt he and Baker should be switched when both are playing. Granted, I'm not a fan of Barney at 2B. Egh.
  13. In this week's Hot Sheet, Chris Archer gets a spot. It's worth pointing out that Chris Archer was born 9/26/1988 and is not 19.

  16. Maybe he hasn't taken or passed a physical yet? :-k Him and DeJesus are the two confusing guys for me. I can understand Wells not being signed yet (to an extent), but those two guys don't exactly scream "super slot" to me.
  17. Some good news today... Iowa: -C Robinson Chirinos assigned to Iowa from Tennessee -IF Jonathon Mota assigned to Iowa from Tennessee Tennessee -UTL David Macias assigned to Tennessee from Daytona
  18. BA's Best Tools (subscription only) coverage rolls on with Low A. Trey McNutt was named as having the best breaking pitch in the MWL, while Hak-Ju Lee was named best defensive SS in the MWL.
  19. According to Goldstein and Callis, MLB is sitting on a ton of signings and refusing to leak them. It might be a few days before we hear anything about guys like Ben Wells.
  20. MIF depth with Renteria injured, plus Freddy Sanchez can't hit RHPs worth a damn.
