    It would be unconventional if he did considering he's only pitched like 8 games this year at AA and doesn't have a very good peripherals. Yeah the 1.73 ERA looks enticing, but his FIP is 3.54 and his K:BB ratio over 41.2 innings is 32:18. That's... not fantastic. While stranger thing have happened, I'm going to assume Johnson only sees the majors this year as a September call up. Johnson reminds me a lot of young AJ Burnett. Great stuff but lacking great command. Here's hoping he can have even half the career of Burnett.

    The offense runs very hot and cold and after Denofria the next 3 hitters are not good. Castro squared it up last time against Rodon. Losing an at-bat with a RISP is painful today Even when Castro gets a hit he then breaks your heart for the next 20 AB's. I'm just saying I get why he called the hit and run. I wasn't shocked when it happened. I was disappointed in the result though.

    My personal wish-list would be a controllable CF and good controllable arm rather than a rental. The two names which come to mind right now would be Charlie Blackmon and Tyson Ross. For those two guys, obviously some very good pieces would have to be dealt, but you have control of Ross through the end of 2017 and Blackmon through the end of 2018. Both the Rockies and Padres are not playing great ball and the Rockies may have already conceded the fact they won't be contending this year.

    I am looking for an extra bleacher seat ticket for the Cards series 9/18-9/20. I have two season tickets in the bleachers and am willing to work out a ticket trade with someone who has access to bleacher seats.
