    Thanks, Fred, for picking up the start for me today. As it turns out, homestands are a pretty terrible time for me to be a starter. Luckily the homestand ends today (And not a minute too soon). I won't be able to get tuesday's game thread up until late-late tonight or early tomorrow - but I promise you, it will be up. Also, go Cubs.

    Well, that was a moderately surprising victory. That said, thanks to their inability to score more than two runs despite having two or three really great chances, they will for now remain the "Cobs." I'm going to go ahead and keep this game thread short and to the point as well, cause it seemed to work for the previous game.

    hahahahah I was in the middle of escorting out some drunk 18 year olds when this happened. So glad there are pictures and videos posted; that's mildly hilarious. Less hilarious is the suspension he is sure to receive.

    Not terrible. One out away from a quality start. too many walks though. still, it's not bad enough for him to get pulled from the rotation. Yeah, he did have an acceptable number of K's though. Maybe he was just 'effectively wild', though. Obviously didn't see the game.
