Im more excited about the Bears than Michigan football. A lot of the key players are returning. The big difference is a new defensive coordinator, who is hopefully and should more aggressive than his predecessor. The old guy was bashed as hard as Dusty is aroung here, The new offensive coordinator isnt really new, he's a retread from the past. Even though they won the National Championship with him at the helm, it was a pretty vanilla offense then. The non-OSU highlight games are at ND and the very cool prime time under the lights game at PSU.

The game is also on WGN. The White Sox crew lead by our dear friend Hawk Harrilson will call the game. With that jerk calling todays game losing is NOT an option.

So the Dbax and now the Angels DFA uber high priced pitchers and the Cubs cant do it for a lousy couple million left on Rusch? I recall Weaver and his buddy Boras turned down multi year contracts for this one year contract he signed this year. Wonder if he thinks what he did was the right thing anymore. -
Looked like prior was around 90-92. When he gets into trouble he dials it up to 94-95 no problem. This is good. Maybe he doesnt have the stamina yet to sit at 94-95 all game yet.

On one hand im happy for their success on the other hand they piss me off. It totally pissed me off going to the Cubs/Tigers game and hearing the fans of Detroit. I cant wait for the day the Cubs play at Detroit and invade Comerica. Detroit has been awful for a long time so good for them. They are totally packing Comerica. Sure they might be bandwagoners but at least they get it some what. It took the White Six like 130 games to finally fill that stadium and they were a World Champion in the making. Tiger fans at least have some foresight and want to enjoy this now and arent waiting for the playoffs to buy tickets. I dont hate them yet......until i start catching crap around here about how good they are and how sucky the Cubs are. Then i will hate them again. -
Baker's tactical moves dont bother me too much, but his leadership this year is downright awful. Everything is an excuse and/or there isnt any accountablity in the clubhouse. Leadership is supposed to be his strength, this year he gets an F.

I watched the end of the game. Zumaya came in and his first pitch was clocked at 101. Each proceeding fastball was triple digits (mostly 101 and 102) and then when he got 'loose' he let fly the 104. The gun seemed accurate to me. Suppan's fastball was at 89, Rogers was a couple ticks less than that and Izzy's best was 92. Dude lights it up.
