  1. ok i laughed. MIchigan INT Michigan
  2. Give it a rest man Nope. I kept my mouth shut during the week. I just sat back and listed to how the Saints were going to come into Chicago and light up the BEars, and I just kept it quiet. To think the Aints could actually come into Chicago and get a victory, whatta joke. They were legit (The Saints). F the pundits. Yes they could actualy win. REALIZE. Not really. 0-10 dome teams on the road in the NFC Championship. Practicing inside all week. Abondoning the run and trying to throw to victory. They never stood a chance. It was only a matter of time before the game got out of hand. Well when the Saints had the ball down 16-14 i wish i shared that thought. Because i was suer scared to HELL

  4. Those were the same freanking guys that said the Bears woulod go 19-0. lets give that S a break. They completly dogged the Bears the past month of the season. They are morons and can kiss my rear end. Yeah and when we turnd on the TV when the Bears were 5-0 we were like "ABOUT TIME YOU GIVE US SOME RESPECT" They have to pick somebody. Who cares about favorites or disrespect

  6. After sobering up, I've been coming to several realizations: 1) This is only the 8th winning Saints season I've seen in my lifetime. We got to the NFC Championship game for the first time ever. My grandfather, season ticket holder from 1967-1995, never got to see them get this far, so i guess I should be feel blessed. 2) I'm encouraged for the future. Drew Brees is 28, Reggie is 21, Deuce is 28, Colston is 23, Henderson is 24, Copper is 25. They'll be back and I'm just glad that I can look forward to expecting them to do well. 3) I'm glad we were beaten by a franchise with a long and proud history like the Bears, as opposed to being beaten by some nappy expansion team like the Panthers. That would have been like the Cubs losing to the Marlins. It just wouldn't be fair. 4) I'm an NFC person and I'm not a sore loser, so I'll be pulling for the Bears in the Super Bowl. Well im just gettin started so ill try my best. 1. We as bears fans dont get this far either. Its was a special day for both of us win or lose. Intense, meaningful games are the entertainment i look for. 2.) Aint that what its about! And you are right! What fun. Saints are solid. As a fan of our team we can never determine the outcome but we can sure enjoy the process, win or lose. I spent the whole day with my dad watching the game and if the Bears lost i would never forget today even if they lost. I dont know you personally, but you are cool dude. May we celebrate a Cubs WS victory together!
  7. 7 YEARS! SoB
  8. This is why following an NFL football team is worthwhile. It doesn come around often for Bears or Saints fans to play in a game like this. I saw a promo on fox "The Saints battle the Bears for a trip to the Super Bowl" I got chills for a sec. Thats my Bears battling for the Super Bowl baby!!!
  9. Thats Awesome. "He showed us absolutely nothing when he come over last year"
  10. I don't know. I would have no problem saying that SOME of them are overconfident. There's a thread asking where in Chicago they can go after the game to celebrate and watch the next game to find out their opponent. One of the replies goes something along the lines of (paraphrasing), "Well, our trophy presentation is going to overlap with the second game so you might miss some of the first half." I mean, come on. I don't think I was that cocky even as a fan of the 90's Bulls.. Ok, maybe I was. But we had Mike. I view it as some good natured smack talking. I talk much more smack in everyday life than i do on a message board because it can be construed differently without the human to human interaction (Its easy and fun to talk smack with Lion fans). Like Bear fans saying they can't wait to see Virginia McCaskey hand the George Halas trophy to herself. Its not meant to be taken seriously like the game is in the bag.
  11. Ginn and Pittman have declared. Today is the last day for underclassmen to declare.
  12. I dont know what more you can ask for when you team is one win away from going to the Super Bowl. Yesterday was exciting, this sunday will be off the hook.
  13. Im already calming my nerves and getting pumped at the same time. You do the math.
  14. Playoffs are freaking great! I'll have to drink a couple beers just to calm my nerves so i dont jump out of my skin. Usually the Cubs or Bears playoffs does that to me. More the Bears because its one and done. I really want them to win bad because a NFC champ game would be really exciting, especially one at Chicago. They wanted Seattle in playoffs last year, they got it this year. Do something about it.
  15. I dont like Ginn all that much either. He's very small, maybe not height wise but bulk wise yes. He added a little more variety to his routes this year but i never seem him do slantes or that sorts over the middle. When does he ever go up and get it, when does he out muscle people. His speed advantage will be negated in the NFL, they will play him closer at the line. When has he ever really had to fight someone at the line to get in his route. I actually prefer Gonzalez to Ginn. He's faster than most people think.
  16. Mel doesnt have any other CB in his top 25. (I havent looked at other boards yet). So who would be.
  17. Praise Jesus. Pittman is going to annouce what he is doing Monday. Robiske, Hartine are not Ginn and Gonzalez. So with the new QB, look for them to go tighter next year and not so much the spread, especially with Wells in the backfield. Is Leon Hall really the best CB available in this draft? It must not be too deep then, i wouldnt call him a shut down corner. Top ten is pushing it. Top 20 i can see.
  18. Me too. I was really glad to see OSU and Michigan crushed. Nothing like seeing those fans in deep sorrow to warm my heart. In general, I like to see the Big 10 "represent" in the bowls, but I took deep pleasure in seeing Michigan and O$U crushed. I too like it when the B10 'represents'. Except for OSU football. I like too see the Big Ten do well, it serves the purpose of making the teams more competitive and thus entertaining. I understand there are many people on this board and elsewhere who are fans of a B10 team that do not root for OSU and UM, I don't expect repricocity in return for me wishing their team success. I like it when the season is more about winning just 1 game. I wish success on other Big Ten teams, just not too much. Im happy to hear Illini doing so well recruiting last year and especially this year. That game has become a dog. They aren't taking UM's recruits so i dont have a problem. Hell they are taking OSU and ND's, hurray!
  19. The funny thing is that Miami just got burned by a "college coach"...why would they go after another one? After a couple of losing season some college school would come after Carroll and he'd probably go right back to it...not sure why you'd want to travel that road again if you're Miami. The difference being that Carroll is a former NFL coach and assistant while Saban wasn't (to my knowledge) Nick Saban used to be an assistant coach with the Browns and Oilers. Saban and Trussel were also one time Syracuse University assistants! Where hasnt Saban been? Thats a shorter list.
  20. Be careful what you wish for. If history is any indication of future success the Big ThreEast will have a run for its money in this bowl. If FSU and Miami get off their ass and the other Big East dropout Virginia Tech field better teams it wont be such a crummy bowl anymore. You'll have you shot at Miami/FSU almost every year.
  21. Im shocked at how much Tressel got outcoached last night. Tressel is a helluva coach and i never could of imagined him getting outcoached of this magnitude. I have a newfound respect for Urban Meyer, he's a damn good coach. Florida, you have a great coach and last night was validation in my eyes you have one. Oh and Ted Ginn, Jr. hurt his ankle on the TD celebration in case you hadnt heard. Some dude rolled up on his foot. Nicely done.
  22. I dont blame him for being all shook up. he probably still doenst believe or no whats happening.
  23. I could see that with Florida and LSU, but I can't follow you there with Arkansas or Auburn. I think Arkansas and Auburn (especially Auburn) could beat USC or OSU. Rewind. Arkansas lost to Wisconsin.
  24. Both the 3rd and 4th best team lost to the 3rd and 4th best team in the B10. If Georgia is the 3rd best team in America be my guest. Auburn beat an average Nebraska team who gave them their only TD scores of the game in the first half. Now Florida totally kicked Ohio States ass. Thats impressive. But lets not let this game be a blanket statement for the whole conference.
