  1. Yosh Kawano Most of the guys have no idea, but this post is funny AF. What Cubs fan over 30 years old doesn’t know who Yosh Kawano is?
  2. I think KB definitely will be there, assuming some players go. He's probably got the most in common with him. I'd suspect the same guys you mentioned, possibly with Hendricks and Quintana, to meet his rotation mates. Maybe Willy, to meet his battery mate. Almora, to meet the guy playing next to him in the OF. That said, it wouldn't shock me if they brought the entire team. Just depends on what Theo knows about him from a personality standpoint. You guys really think half the team is going to come to this presentation? I’m thinking Bryzzo and that’s it if any players even come
  3. I was thinking this morning I should create an animated gif of Don drunkenly pitching Life Cereal but put Theo's head over Don's and pitching "The Cure for the Common Baseball Team" or something but then I remember that I have no photoshop skills
  4. I don’t think this was posted yet
  5. I have it on good authority that Theo has purchased the rights to the Concorde and right this very second is assembling one for Ohtani so he can make trips to visit his family on Cubs off days
  6. Add Nationals to the list of teams that are out
  7. Cardinals and Rays too. Very nice couple of minutes
  8. Not sure if he’s reporting this or speculating
  9. It’s more likely than a FG block or miss from 23 yards out or a kickoff return for TD. not at all. the chance one of their guys false starts, misses a block or flat out dies on the snap allowing the Bears to crash Gould (like 2%) was far more probable then Fox/Loggains getting their horsefeathers together for less then two minutes (like 0%). Well he’s 93-94 for his career on FGs inside 30 yards so you are already wrong with regards to probabilities
  10. Explain why you wouldn’t let them score in this situation: Let them score: Get ball back down 5 with 1:40 left Don’t let them score: They score anyways 99% of the time and you have to return a kickoff for a TD to win it. explain to me how we got there in the first [expletive] place. You really think Fox and Co could competently put together a 2 min offense to score a TD? It’s more likely than a FG block or miss from 23 yards out or a kickoff return for TD.
  11. ”Wait really? Did we emphasize how vaunted we are?”
  12. So far the following teams are officially out per Twitter reports: Yankees Red Sox Blue Jays Twins Mets Athletics Pirates Brewers Diamondbacks White Sox Cardinals Rays The following teams are definitely still in: Mariners Giants Then you have the Padres, Dodgers and Angels all on the preferred WC. Not officially still in but very likely
  13. Explain why you wouldn’t let them score in this situation: Let them score: Get ball back down 5 with 1:40 left Don’t let them score: They score anyways 99% of the time and you have to return a kickoff for a TD to win it.
  14. Heck could they make a late play for Stanton if they got Ohtani? Not sure what sort of payroll they can afford
  15. Hmm ok this sounds promising If true were still alive!
  16. You have to remember this is a New Yorker being quoted. To people in NYC, everything west of New Jersey is basically the west coast and any city that’s not New York is a small market. We got this.
  17. Sounds pretty likely the Cubs are not getting him
  18. Mariners don’t surprise me at all, Giants slightly
  19. Jesus Christ. How difficult is it to understand that there is maybe a 1-2% chance of a block from a kick inside 25 yards and maybe 0.5% chance of a kickoff returned for a TD. compare that to the odds of Trubisky leading the 2 minute offense to a TD In reality he knows that but his super conservative to a fault mindset ingrained over 30 yards of coaching just can’t accept voluntarily giving up the lead to give himself a better chance to win. Or I should say “a chance”
  20. lol here's this guy again this is that weirdo that does nothing but complain on bears, bulls, and cubs twitter right? with the "This is fine" av? They have to be. I’m reading that twitter feed and the complaints are remarkably similar
  21. Haha Bears gonna lose at home to a 1-10 team on a Robbie Gould FG. The Bears playcalling is still unbelievably bad but the Bears offense just sucks. Really not any sustained drives all game since the lone score came on a short field after a TO. Meanwhile the 49ers will have 5 scoring drives, I believe 4 of them on 12+ play drives. Give defense credit for limiting them to FGs but overall piss poor performance by everyone
  22. Yep if you run backwards it hurts you 9 times out of 10 and the other time that happens
  23. Quarterbacking is easy when you have all the time in the world to throw
  24. Yeah the best part is their best argument is exactly the opposite of what they were arguing last year. That said I think Ohio State has a better resume even w 2 losses. Oh well I’m certainly not complaining!
