    He had a disappointing year in 2016 (probably Bortles related) then tore his ACL. I feel like Landy is more of a sure bet but Robinson maybe a higher ceiling?

    one of the best values and one of my favorite places to sit = front of upper deck (400) infield The best value ticket in sports. For some reason the market has never figured out how awesome those seats are. I have an annual trip with friends where we sit in the bleachers per tradition, but any other game I go to I try to sit in the 400s. I could have sworn in reason years theyve disproportionately raised prices on those seats. It is hilarious though that people who don't know better buy seats 20 rows up in the 200 level and spend the game with the overhang blocking off part of the OF all because they assume lower deck > upper deck

    When I think of Valbuena, the first thing that still comes to my mind is that breakout series he had against the Cubs in 2009 as a member of the Indians (in a series the Cubs swept despite him)

    I'm pretty sure it actually bumped the Brewers up to the best team in MLB. That's how these things work. The Brewers are the best team by default for continuing to trick Theo into acquiring valuable players

    I was at that game and it was awweeesssoooommmeeee. Same here, in the bleachers. Leaving that game and walking down Sheffield people were jumping up and down high fiving like we just won the pennant.

    Guessing it is all arranged to potentially fit Harper. The Cubs have Zobrist (12.5m) and Cishek (6.5m) on the books in 2019 but do not in 2020.

    Schwarbs sure loves his America shorts. I saw a picture of Duensing and Lester playing catch on twitter earlier and they both had them on too. Wonder if they already had a themed day? It's possible. I've just noticed him wearing these a lot.

    Sounds like Theo made one last call to Jake’s contingent before finalizing the Yu deal. Reportedly he asked if Jake would be willing to accept a similar deal and was told no.

    Not that this is really an area where you want to be every single year but kind of crazy that the Cubs have signed MLB trade rumors #1 or #2 free agent in 3 of the last 4 offseasons
