  1. Is Bryant going to get double digit HRs this year?
  2. The worst thing about the Cubs striking out so much tonight is that Jesse Rogers is going to be on the warpath
  3. Hey I was told there would only be 3 relievers tonight
  4. So do we pretty much just have Duensing and Rosario available? Assuming Cishek, Strop and Morrow are not going to pitch tonight
  5. A 40% K rate is so obscene, I can hardly blame them for thinking that jesus christ i had not been paying attention and just looked it up. 39.7% thats insane I believe it has gone down over the last couple of weeks too
  6. We have to have had a runner on third in like 6 innings tonight and only 1 run to show for it
  7. Man I’ve seen this offense take so many strikes down the middle tonight
  8. Took a 45 min nap. Woke up in time for Familia’s next pitch
  9. Please let another AAAA reliever get the job done (if its not Wilson again)
  10. Some awful horsefeathering swings tonight
  11. It’s just the luck of getting 3 hits and not scoring that irks me. I figured they’d potentially struggle even with bases loaded and 1 out because deGrom is more than capable of getting out of the jam.
  12. Did Zobrist have any chance to score if they sent him? I’m really not a fan of not being aggressive there against a top 10 pitcher on the road with our 6th starting going
  13. 3 hits in the inning, 0 outs on the bases, 0 runs scored.
  14. Willy’s gotta be aggressive there with 2 strikes come on dude
  15. Ahh wish we were aggressive there with deGrom on the mound
  16. I was wondering when we’d have to face deGrom or Syndergaard. Guess we don’t have to face the latter this series which is nice
  17. Correa HR, Cubs now have the 2nd best RD in baseball and without looking i'm gonna guess they've played fewer games than the teams around them in the rankings Yep. And even better way to put the RD into perspective: +87 in 54 games = on pace for +261 RD for the season 2016 Cubs RD: +252
  18. Not making any argument, just pointing out as you sort of eluded to that Win Shares is a cumulative stat (as is VORP) and while longevity should be used as a point of evaluation, it’s worth noting that MJ’s WS/48 over his career is higher than LeBron's. Either way MJ was my sports idol growing up and I’m heavily biased towards him. That said LeBron has in my eyes evened himself up with MJ to the point where I see 1 and 1a. Overall it doesn’t matter to me who is the real GOAT...both will be viewed as legends in a tier with just each other (although you can make a case for some guys that came before MJ). Also by the time we get done settling this debate, someone else will probably show up and challenge GOAT status and this will happen again. So I won’t worry about it.
  19. Correa HR, Cubs now have the 2nd best RD in baseball
  20. In real time the Cubs are currently 1 run away from having the 2nd best RD in baseball
  21. So a walk, hard hit single, K, ball that probably could have been a double and hard hit ball caught with a slide at the wall. Great start...only 1 walk!
