  1. [tweet] [/tweet] Damn, nice pick up. Can't believe he was out there for so long
  2. Personally swatting down whatever that little thing was that the Pirates had going on for a couple of years. This will be the enduring Arrieta memory for me. First playoff appearance of the Theo era, franchise on a 9 game playoff losing streak, wild card winner-take-all game on the road. He crushed their souls so badly they threw at him just to try and get him off his rhythm. Arrieta responded by stealing second base, and then finishing the last 3 innings of the complete game shutout. Maybe this isn't entirely true but horsefeathers it: Jake Arrieta broke the Pirates beyond repair.
  3. I agree. He was like our little secret in 2014 since the Cubs were awful. The best was that game against the Red Sox he almost threw a no-hitter. I mean the Red Sox had been battering this dude for years as a Oriole, now all the sudden he's dominating them.
  4. Save some of your anger for stupid Davidson too
  5. The committee appreciates Syracuse’s enormous efforts at trying to be the 36th at large team every year.
  6. Wow USC a big miss. We had them at 31
  7. Obviously knew this day was coming for awhile but it’s still sad
  8. Eloy just went yard against the Cubs. Brb gonna rewatch Quintana’s complete game against the VBs last September
  9. Umm ok
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] So if this is true this means there is a potential that there might be a Cubs game where we will only be able to watch on Facebook and nowhere else?
  11. Revised: Alabama Arizona State Florida State Kansas State Louisville NC State Providence St. Bonaventure Texas UCLA USC Virgina Tech
  12. I knew I'd horsefeathers this up eventually. Ok hang on

  14. Dumb question but bottom 20 still in consideration, is that the last 20 teams we are keeping in consideration, or the 20 teams I want to eliminate from consideration?
  15. NOOO! [tweet] [/tweet] Limped off the field and left the game. Edit: For the record I was going to create a new thread but couldnt think of anything nearly as funny as what jersey would probably make.
  16. 2-3-4 2. Xavier 2. UNC 2. Purdue 2. Auburn 3. Cincinnati 3. Michigan 3. MSU 3. Tennessee 4. Wichita State 4. Texas Tech 4. Clemson 4. Gonzaga Next 12: 21. Arizona 22. Florida 23. Miami 24. 17. Random but TT's post about Zips projections for Kuechel made me look this up, but the Cubs rotation's comps per zips: Andy Pettite Greg Maddux Tom Glavine Tim Hudson Paul Foytack (one of these things is not like the other)
  18. They played at a 107 win pace after the ASB lol
  19. Also holy hell, if a "World Series hangover season" is a division title, best record in the NL by 4 games after the ASB and an NLCS appearance, well good luck 2018 baseball teams.
  20. MEAC (Bethune-Cookman) SWAC NEC (LIU-Brooklyn) Southland Big South (Radford) Ivy League MAAC Horizon Atlantic Sun (Lipscomb) Big West Big Sky Southern (UNGC) Colonial Athletic (Charleston) OVC (Murray State) Summit (SD State) Missouri Valley (Loyola) West Coast (Gonzaga) I think that is every conference that is more likely than not to be 1 bid, let me know if missed some. Gonna have to get the rest possibly tonight but probably tomorrow morning if that fits with your schedule.

It has Grambling on there but listed as ineligable My stab at it, mostly in order on the site: Bethune-Cookman SWAC Winner LIU-Brooklyn Southeastern Louisiana FGCU UNC-A Radford Penn Wagner Iona Northern Kentucky Lipscomb Bradley Fresno State Wright State SIU Marshall Furman W&M UC Davis
  22. Missed the deadline but if can give me til like noon today I’ll submit something
  23. I actually was ok with the thought process behind that trade (given where the Bulls were at the time), but never liked the actual pick. And it looks hilariously awful now that we know the picks the Bulls traded were used to pick Nurkic and Gary Harris. It's insane how well that trade worked out for Denver.
  24. http://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/22400743/2019-nba-mock-draft-rj-barrett-zion-williamson-more-rising-prospects Yeah I saw it. I just can't see GarPax taking a gamble like that. He's stressed that this is a multi-year rebuild, so I can't see him just giving up a 1st round likely lottery pick in a year where the lottery odds begin to smooth out a bit. I definitely understand where you are coming from. If the Bulls end up with like the 9th pick, I wouldnt be opposed to offering their pick and NO pick, as well as the option to swap picks in 2019 to move up into the top 4, but I can't see them outright trading next year's pick.
  25. I know this is obvious but I love to say it anyway, that if we do end up like Vancouver at least we got 3 freaking Cups out of it. I just feel like Bowman had a really difficult job balancing the cap every year, and some of the negative things that happened were out of his control (like for instance I won't rip on him for Toews decline after signing his cap killing contract), but at the same time he made some moves that have really worked out poorly and should absolutely be criticized for. Would like to have a 23 year old Teuvo with his sexy possession stats on one of the top 2 lines right now. And I get going after rentals to win now 2 seasons ago but he spent a crapload of future assets to pick up 3 rentals in Weise, Fleischmann and Ladd and didn't even address the biggest issue on the team which was blue line depth, which led to a first round ouster. Why did we give up on Daley again? Why did we mess with the Panarin-Kane combo after arguably Kane's 2 best seasons?
