    He already ran all the bases. I’m assuming it’s like a double and a 2 base error. The error is letting the ball go into the stands

    The thing that annoys me about the offense is that the power is so sapped that I don’t even think about the possibility of a HR when we are at bat. What happened to our endless dongs? There is no way an offense with Bryant, Rizzo, Javy, Schwarber, Happ, etc should struggle so badly to hit HRs

    Rich Hill has a lifetime ERA of 0.51 against the Cubs including tonight. 1 ER in 17.2 IP which was an Addison Russell solo HR in game 2 of the 2017 NLCS. Unrelated but RHB are OPSing over 1.000 against Hill this year.

    what tipped me off is not even crazy Joe would have Gimenez starting both games of a DH behind the plate

    I don't mind it. The upside is obviously there, probably would have paid more for Davis or another closer with elite potential, and when healthy the Cubs have Edwards, Cishek and Strop as solid backup closer options.

    I'm sure he will say that he needed one or both of them to be available for game 2. But yeah imagine Strop pitching the 9th instead of Wilson.

    according to twitter the dodgers broadcast was saying maddon said he's fatigued. Again he's pitched in 1 game over the last 12 days. If he's been fatigued this entire time why isn't he on the DL?

    This horsefeathers happens almost every game. They have a really good offense that can't take advantage of essentially gimme situations to even scratch out a single run to a degree that makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever. Absolutely. For the better part of 4 years now. This goes well beyond SSS

    Today's game (pending explanation) and the Bass move on Sunday are 2 of the most perplexing moves I've seen in some time.
