This week. Unless that performance against the Reds on Sunday counted, we are due for our patented “everything’s alright” 13+ run outburst. Should win that one unless our bullpen implodes again

There is no rational explanation for it. It's not like our hitters look any different or visibly change much as far as I can tell. They just stop getting hits, or even productive outs, doing whatever it is they're doing. Right and if it was just this year or this year and last you’d have more patience for it to correct itself. But they were average in 2016 and bottom 5 in 2015 as well. And Theo specifically pointed to situational hitting when adding Chili so he understands there is something broken. So far it hasn’t been fixed so now what?

4 years of constantly being toward the bottom of the league in these situations. Changed hitting coaches and it’s only seemed to get worse. What will fix it? Actually changes to the core?

I completely forgot about that game but it has all come back to me now. Man we play some weird ass games against the Rockies at Wrigley -The 01 game where (I think) Ricky Gutierrez stumbles around 3rd as the winning run, gets caught in a rundown and still manages to score (might be getting details wrong) -The 07 game above -The huge 8 run comeback game in 08 -Kris Bryant somehow gets a clutch hit after Cubs blow big lead in 9th in 15

Garrett and Iglesias, it's all but over If the Cubs win, you agree to stop watching for the rest of the season. It’s funny that his 2 big things are 1) calling out people who are overreactionary about Joe and/or calling out fans (aka #CubsTwitter) for irrational comments 2) making overreactionary and/or irrational comments about the Cubs as a whole being awful and gutless choking dogs

Not a great week for the pen... Sunday in St Louis, the 9th inning in Game 1 of the DH, blowing leads in 3 of the 4 games this weekend. Turning a fairly close game into a blowout in the other game
