  1. I'm sure you can all guess the teams but just curious, which resume is better, or are they pretty even? Team A: RPI - 15 KenPom - 6 Bart Torvik - 6 SOS - 108 NC SOS - 250 VS Top 50 - 2-4 (2 H, 1 R, 3 N) VS Top 100 - 7-4 Q1 Record - 3-4 Losses outside of Q1 - 0 Team B: RPI - 13 KenPom - 9 Bart Torvik - 7 SOS - 62 NC SOS - 283 VS Top 50 - 6-4 (3 H, 5 R, 2 N) VS Top 100 - 10-6 Q1 Record - 6-5 Losses outside of Q1 - 2 (including a Q3 loss)
  2. He's a running back that is good at runningbacking, he fits the system. The last time we traded a player because he didn’t “fit” a coaches system, Greg Olsen ended up in Carolina
  3. Also many of you probably know of this site already but there’s a really good site out there that is basically a free KenPom http://www.barttorvik.com
  4. The state of Illinois is guaranteed to have a tourney team this year as Illinois State plays Loyola-Chicago in the MVC championship today. Loyola has an outside shot at an at-large if they lose but not super likely
  5. Plus Cohen and Cunningham are both above average in the receiving game. Maybe Howard isn’t an ideal fit for Nagy’s offense but it shouldn’t be hard to work the offense around Howard’s significant talent and still be able to work in his pass catching RBs
  6. Omg they lost that? I can’t believe how angry I am about my favorite NBA team winning a game.
  7. Sucks they probably need to beat Purdue to have a realistic shot. Of course Purdue needs to win tonight
  8. I'm confused as to why a lesbian is the authority on this.
  9. good question. i honestly have not watched a ton of bulls lately but i did see a chunk of that game he dropped 38 points in. Is he the kind of guy that can thrive as a 3rd option or is he only effective if he is getting fed the ball as the primary option? it seems like GarPax sees him as a piece otherwise the niko/portis situation might have gone differently plus we didn't hear any trade chatter involving him around the deadline.
  10. Honestly, I feel like his issues were all mental but i could be wrong.
  11. I mean Cutler definitely has a huge place in my heart, but a good 30% of that is basically the cult of Smokin Jay/don't care Jay. I thought about throwing a "among non-HOF player" clause in there cuz of Urlacher. Brown is a good one too though. when i was a kid, it was raymont harris, the ultra back. i have no idea why, because he wasn't all that good. I drew a picture of him as a kid in some art class we had, and then came across that picture a few years ago and thought 'who the horsefeathers is raymont harris'. Forgot all about him
  12. That's a shame about Willie Young. If I am remembering correctly, he was still effective and a good teammate when he was on the field. Guess he's just too oft injured to be trusted.
  13. Yeah Delaney had offers to hold the tourney next week at Barclays and Prudential in Newark but he wanted the allure of playing at MSG. I have no problem having the tournament in DC or NY or wherever but having the tourney a week early caused logistical issues during conference play and like you said takes us out of the spotlight of being the lead in to the selection show. Though maybe that’s for the better with how horsefeathers most of the Big Ten has been this year. Delany most certainly did not have offers to hold the tournament at Barclays, because they're hosting the ACC tournament and are contracted to host the A-10 for at least the next 3 years. If he wanted NYC, this was his only play. Going to Prudential is probably the only thing that would've been dumber than what he did. Of course, Delany's entire NYC gambit is a complete joke, and the fact that the B1G tournament is ever anywhere other than Chicago and Indy is dumb. From what I understand the Barclays offer was made before the ACC was announced and the offer was also not necessarily locked in for 2018
  14. He probably just said a generic white person's name and by stroke of luck was correct.

  16. Always excited though the week off between the Big Ten season and the tourney is going to suck. I like watching the other conference tourneys though
  17. How about you give them all to the Cubs at minimum salary? I'm sure we could use the depth.
  18. Good stuff because every other tanking team lost or is losing tonight Earlier in the year I couldn’t get behind rooting for the team to lose individual games even though I wanted them to get a high pick. Not having that problem anymore
  19. Gonna be tough, NJ and Charlotte are tough tanking competition. Luckily, GarPax stated that LaVine won't be playing B2Bs so he won't play tomorrow.
  20. It begins... [tweet] [/tweet]
  21. that and there are like 4 presales in the days leading up to ticket sales. Also, about 10 years ago they used to let tickets go on sales at Wrigley 2 hours before they were available online, so it was more of an event. I still remember in 2005 getting up at like 5am to hear the winning wristband number broadcast on WGN radio, then rushing to the park because my friend was within 1000 of the winning number, then getting Red Sox tickets when that was the hyped first time ever interleague matchup.
  22. I'd say DeBrincat but the shelf life of young talent in Chicago tends to be short.
  23. I guess Dusty is partially absolved. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a 9 year old pitching in an MLB playoff game should get some of the blame. I hope he wasn't forced to throw any breaking balls.
  24. Cubs Twitter is mad we didn’t sign him
  25. The Twins could still sign one of those guys, right? Their rotation is still Berrios, Odorizzi, Gibson, injured Santana and what???? Didn’t they just sign Anibal Sanchez?
