  1. that's horsefeathering disgusting For the worst possible reason, too. I bought into the scrappy white guy mystique of Stockton. I....didn't know that was a thing
  2. Wonder how they felt about this in 2015 http://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/2015/05/28/mlbtv_arisln_134761683_1800K.mp4 It was legal Admittedly I'm cherry picking, several didn't like the slide or questioned if it was dirty. Also going through their game thread and finding them wondering why Heyward is struggling at the plate and how he's so likable so they hope he gets going is interesting.
  3. Yeah I don’t know I was under 10 for that. All I know is right now I’m sick of it. Maybe I’ll look back at it more fondly in 20 years
  4. Man the NBA is such a tease. It acts like it wants to avoid Warriors-Cavs Part mother horsefeathering 4 but then the Celtics and Rockets blow double digit leads at home in their respective game 7s (just assuming the Rockets will continue this way and lose). Sick of this dumb league
  5. Yes but the real question is does rmack?
  6. Remember that year Addy has 95 RBIs? I think he’s had like 19 RBIs since then
  7. This is going to be one of those games people read the thread without knowing the score and think we lost 17-4 or something
  8. horsefeathers it they would have won Game 7 without his motivational speech. There I said it.
  9. For almost the majority of the last 4 seasons. Chili was brought in to fix this and Hickey was brought in to help our pitchers walk less guys. So far we’ve had worse situational hitting and our pitchers have walked more batters
  10. Think I saw the Cubs are hitting .153 with RISP over the last 15 games. I’m pretty sure they started that stretch well last in baseball with BA with RISP so it’s probsbly embarrassingly awful now
  11. All you can do is cover your eyes and wait for it to get better. If it doesn’t it doesn’t but the team is and has played much better
  12. Chatwood needs to go down to Mesa for a few weeks and figure horsefeathers out, this is beyond bizarre
  13. No you’re right keep being overly worried about a team playing at an 88 win pace for the season while statistically looking like a 95+ win team. Yeah the Darvish injury is concerning but let’s not act like you just starting being concerned today. All I’m saying is like maybe enjoy baseball for a little while. the run differential stuff got old a long time ago. we know they're super talented and should be better than they are. and stop pretending like you're enjoying baseball this year. you can admit that it's been a bummer. Lol like all of your replies are you presuming I am thinking the same ridiculously negative horsefeathers as you. I’m done...you my friend are being ridiculous
  14. they're finishing up the easiest part of the schedule right now, so i don't know how you can assume this. They’ve played a harder schedule than everyone else in the central except the Reds
  15. Not really. The Cubs could end up falling short at the end of the day. But because they’ve been a really really good baseball team for the last 3+ years they deserve the benefit of the doubt. No one needs to freak out before Memorial Day because they are 4.5 games out of first (and only 2 in the loss column) much less 1 game out of a playoff spot. saying anything other than "the cubs will obviously win 90+ games and the brewers are 100% trash" is seen as freaking out. the "it's only _____" thing just becomes annoying at a certain point, because it has a way of always being pushed back. plus, injuries happen, and we might be seeing with darvish. they need to be winning games and not assuming they'll come later, because it not happening would be far from the weirdest thing to happen in baseball this year. No you’re right keep being overly worried about a team playing at an 88 win pace for the season while statistically looking like a 95+ win team. 16. God are we going to horsefeathering do this horsefeathers on here 2 years in a row? It’s like I’ve gone back in time to July 2017. It’s horsefeathering May still, slow your damn roll. Maybe it will turn out different but this team has played like a 90 win team in the first halves under Joe and 109 win team in second halves. This happens every horsefeathering year except 2016 and yet many can’t just chill out and enjoy the greatest run of Cubs baseball in pretty much forever. yeah we all know they're likely to be good and they have a good roster and stuff, but at this point the constant assumption that they'll go on some big run just because it's worked out that way in the past feels like false confidence in the way it's talked about. we all know that what you said is likely to be true, yet it feels lie you're trying to convince yourself of it as much as you're trying to convince me. Not really. The Cubs could end up falling short at the end of the day. But because they’ve been a really really good baseball team for the last 3+ years they deserve the benefit of the doubt. 17. accept the fact that they're better and it will become easier actually that doesn't make it easier at all. why the horsefeathers is cubs baseball so sad these days God are we going to horsefeathering do this horsefeathers on here 2 years in a row? 18. At one point the Warriors were outscoring the Rockets 60-20 in the second half. Heck the Rockets had a 17 point lead after the first quarter. The Rockets will have two 25+ point losses in this series but are somehow still going to host a game 7.
  19. Uhhhhhhhhhhh.... Was Happ already out of the game? I’ve been coming and going watching the game. Team isn’t currently worth my full attention on weekends
  20. How can Heyward possibly be taking this AB? No one else left? I’d rather let Happ hit and PH LaStella for Heyward
  21. Another mediocre performance by Not Eloy Jimenez
  22. Javys kind of sucked because he was up 2-0 but other than that a walk and the pitcher hit one crispy but right at someone. I’ve seen much worse from these Cubs
