    Javy’s first PA was a 10 pitch AB that got to 3-2 count. Javy’s second PA was an intentional walk. Javy’s 3rd PA was a 7 pitch walk. Wtf is going on here?

    you are right to hate him, he's a bad person and hits like a pud Yeah if there weren’t DV accusations I’d say he is one of the untouchables you can’t outright hate because of his NLCS and WS heroics but if you factor that in it’s fair game to hate him.

    Never would have imagined that Harbaugh could have outlasted Urban at their current jobs. I would be disappointed if he is never able to beat an Urban Meyer OSU team. But then again that might be the case even if he stays.

    Of course its a possibility. His wife not reporting the DV incident is a Title IX violation right? That's some serious ish for a university. I'll still believe it when I see it though.

    I haven’t watched the game but it seems like another relatively rough offensive game. After an extended strong stretch it seems like we are starting to struggle again for the last week or so

    I hear ya. Hopefully we can rebuild the farm system quickly enough for it to have some use in the back half of this "window" we are in.

    I've seen about 15 teams reported to have made no further deadline deals, but haven't seen the Cubs listed just yet.

    Yeah its a bit of a gamble but I don't think the Cubs could have gotten a difference making starter without having to trade Happ/Russell/etc. They didn't want to so instead pivoted to having the best and deepest offense combined with a very deep bullpen that can hold the fort down if the starters can't get it together. Also, the starters getting it together is still a legit possibility when you consider their track records, age and in the case of Darvish return from injury. I think its a smart play albeit not completely ideal.

    Dodgers getting Axford. Say what you want about the Dodgers but they....certainly make a lot of transactions every deadline.

    Interesting trade. Obviously Glasnow has been a disappointment so far but he is still relatively young and his stuff still looks great. Meadows was a top 50 prospect before the year.

    Maybe. But I don't blame them for going this route when I don't think they had a lot to offer other teams in trades without getting into MLB depth. You have 6 starters and like 9 bullpen arms if you include Smyly. Find 12 capable pitchers out of those 15.

    I just expected more of a rebuild after trading McCutchen and Cole. I expect Archer's price to be high, possibly more than what they got back for Cole. Do the Pirates really think they are close to being a contender this year or next? I guess I haven't been paying that much attention to them.

    They're only 3.5 games out of the wild card game. And Archer is an asset beyond this year. Yeah but they'd have to jump 3 teams to make it. I dunno maybe they just see the NL as wide open with the Nationals down, Phils and Braves still incomplete, the Cubs starting pitching woes and the Dodgers early season stumble. Guess we will see how much they had to give up.
