  1. I'm sure he will say that he needed one or both of them to be available for game 2. But yeah imagine Strop pitching the 9th instead of Wilson.
  2. plus wasn't schwarber still in the game? He at least reduces a little bit of the chance of them scoring on a single through the hole.
  3. according to twitter the dodgers broadcast was saying maddon said he's fatigued. Again he's pitched in 1 game over the last 12 days. If he's been fatigued this entire time why isn't he on the DL?
  4. This horsefeathers happens almost every game. They have a really good offense that can't take advantage of essentially gimme situations to even scratch out a single run to a degree that makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever. Absolutely. For the better part of 4 years now. This goes well beyond SSS
  5. Today's game (pending explanation) and the Bass move on Sunday are 2 of the most perplexing moves I've seen in some time.
  6. If Morrow wasn't available for 1 or both games, why the hell didn't we red eye someone up to be the 26th man for the 2nd game?
  7. Bryant just misses a 2 run shot, Rizzo lines one right to the RF with the bases loaded, Almora pops up with a runner on 3rd and 1 out. The 8th inning lost us the game just as much as Morrow randomly being unavailable.
  8. And Morrow will be unavailable tonight after throwing too many warm up pitches today. Nope, he will come in for mop up duty (winning or losing) because he needs some game action
  9. Morrow has pitched once in the last 12 days. If anything, you have him close Game 1 if he's available to guarantee that he gets some work today.
  10. Would be awesome if the Cubs walked the leadoff man in the 7th, 8th and 9th in a 1 run game and got out of it each time.
  11. Joe is outsmarting all of us. At least its not Bass? Cant wait until Joe calls out "Cubs Twitter" when asked about it afterwards
  12. Ball starting to jump for KB. Had that warning track fly to RF earlier too. Now lets see if these [expletive] can get the insurance run in.
  13. Triple was a ground ball down the 3B line that Schwarber misplayed twice, once it took a hop off the side wall and went all the way to the track, and the second time he had trouble picking the ball up. Double was a bloop fly that Zobrist called everyone off on, but ultimately fell in between 3 guys while Zobrist was never even that close to where the ball ended up.
  14. I saw something that TLS had one of the largest drops in Hard Hit % between 2017 and 2018. Something like 35% last year, under 20% this year.
  15. 2004 Maddux is number 1 even if they didn't end up making the playoffs
