Yeah I hear ya. Offense didn’t show but doesn’t help that we only used Bass, Duensing and Farrell in the pen and all 4 runs came with them in the game

I just want to say when I originally voted on this I thought it said Lester leads pitchers in fWAR and not team so I am going to pretend like I am nailing this prediction right now I also voted for the Almora choice which is on track and while Contreras isnt leading the team in fWAR he’s 2nd

I love that I work in a laid back office and have a mounted TV we can put the games on. Been able to watch so much more than I would normally.

Random thought...I remember in the winter there was some talk from the Red Sox that Chili Davis had something to do with the team’s poor power numbers but dismissed it as stupid. But now more than 1/3 into the season I see this Boston HR 2017: 27 out of 30 HR 2018: 2 out of 30 SLG 2017: .407 SLG 2018: .457 Cubs HR 2017: 9 out of 30 HR 2018: 23 out of 30 SLG 2017: .437 SLG 2018: .415 Obviously Boston added JD Martinez but outside of that many of the same hitters. I’m sure it’s just statistical noise and it happens to come during a particularly rough stretch of power hitting but I thought it was interesting.

Then you don't really understand how baseball works, and you're going to generally not enjoy watching it. I’m convinced it’s worse this year. Again, I can't remember who it was but I remember reading something a few weeks ago that it is worse, in fact it was approaching a historically high variance between their hot and cold streaks. I tend not to get too worried about how things look in June, and I'm really not all that worried that much overall, but that particular thing does concern me a bit.
