  1. I'm okay going all meatbally on this and say that a mid-season trade for a draft pick is a locker room killer. If you held onto him it was to keep him all season and maybe get the 2021 draft comp. Wish it would have been for more, but that probably wasn't realistic. Well then in my opinion you keep him then. But what do I know?
  2. Holy horsefeathers. Wouldn’t it have made more sense to hold onto him and see if we can get more for him at the deadline? I know NFL deadlines aren’t as big as other sports but you certainly aren’t going to get anything worse than a 6th by holding onto him
  3. If you go back to the last spring games, the Cubs have scored 55 runs over their last 4 games. 24, 3, 16 and now 12. If we can average 10+ runs a game I think we’ll be alright.
  4. two thirds of this board are morons then which seems....low
  5. Bryants warning track shot in the 1st looked like it was a HR to me and Javy's looked like a flyout.
  6. Love the added image of Bryzzo on the video board. Not a big fan of Schwarber not being trusted against a lefty in an AL park. I'd like see him get chances to improve there this year.
  7. Imagine going into the season with this starting lineup: [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. Think its just the weather. This is the second year in a row where we've had a 3 city road trip before our home opener. I think even the Sox are on the road for 2 series before their home opener at the end of next week.
  9. It sounds like they are having a super secret real wedding with their closest friends and family and then some crappy ceremony for everyone else at an undesirable time to keep the attendance low and they can still collect gifts from the people that are sending their regrets.
  10. Isn't that what the DVR is for? i cant do sports on DVR. It's not a big deal, just 1/162. It's just my selfish preference to have the game start either earlier or later.
  11. 3:05 is the worst time for an opening day game to start. Either make the game at a time where the game can be completed during work hours or at night so I can watch the entirety at home.
  12. dumb question, but when was Kyle due to be a FA? 2021?
  13. Prediction Time AL East: Yankees AL Central: Twins AL West: Astros AL WC1: Red Sox AL WC2: Rays Rays over Red Sox Astros over Twins Yankees over Rays Yankees over Astros NL East: Nationals NL Central: ....Cardinals (horsefeathers) NL West: Dodgers NL WC1: Phillies NL WC2: Cubs Cubs over Phillies Dodgers over Cardinals Nationals over Cubs Nationals over Dodgers Yankees over Nationals I didnt put a lot of thought into it. I think the Cubs are going to be a .500ish team until they make a late season push and sneak into WC2. I don't really *love* the Cardinals like some but they have enough talent to win the Central. Other Cubs predictions: -Addison Russell returns and actually has a season closer to 2016, and everyone still hates him because they should forever and ever because he suuuucks -Cubs do make moves at the deadline, but still not looking to add on any salary -As I predict every season, Schwarber has his breakout season, hits 40 bombs after proving he can consistently hit lefties -Cubs bullpen is a horsefeathering dumpster fire even with deadline moves -Joe Maddon does not return after this season, a "mutual decision"
