  1. Yelich had the walkoff double. For the 4 game series he was 6-12, 4 HR, 8 RBI, 6 BB/1 K. Crazy
  2. Pretty demoralizing loss. Have 2 of your supposed to be good starters pitching and score 6 runs in the first 5 innings. You should win this game almost every time
  3. Strange that the Cubs will have 2 fully rested starters pitch in this game. Ones that we invested $175m and 2 top prospects for. And we are still going to need our pen for almost 3 innings (including Cishek)
  4. Turner field opened in 1996 and the Braves are now in their 3rd season in their new park
  5. The Rangers have had the tying run on base in 6 of the 7 innings despite the Cubs having a 3 run lead most of the game
  6. They kept mentioning how Willson has been working on his framing in the offseason...hasn’t looked all that great so far.
  7. I can’t wait for the 30 for 30 documentary on the dynasty killing 2017 offseason
  8. i understand following the brewers and cardinals, but why do we need to keep track of their good players' numbers? like why would i want to know every time yelich hits a home run Every time I open up twitter I see yelich HR highlights. Not going out of my way to see how he is doing
  9. Yelich hits number 3
  10. And now another Yelich HR
  11. Great stuff but once again the Cubs save their big inning for the inning Pat takes off for his midgame dump
  12. I always hear this line of trash talk now. Who the hell cares if its 1 in 100 years when the 1 was 3 years ago? I mean do you think a 40 year old Pirates fan cares that his team has won 4 titles in the last 100 years when they've never won it in their lifetime?
  13. UMFan what happened? I had them in the FF, thought they were clearly the best team in the West, did not think they'd have much trouble advancing. Guess TT' defense was a big factor along with an off shooting night. Texas Tech is playing great basketball for about the last 6 weeks. Well they've been good all year but are on another level lately. Barttorvik.com shows that they have played like the 2nd best team in basketball since mid-February (michigan was 1 whoops). They were the one team I was really worried about in their bracket. I think their defensive system of keeping the middle clear was a horrible matchup for Michigan and they played right into their hands. It doesn't help that they had a horrific shooting night even when they got open looks and that the defense didn't play up to par in the 2nd half. Michigan with the right matchups could have won the title but I think most Michigan fans had concern that a game like this was going to pop up at the wrong time. The offense has been average (relative to other top 10 teams) but has had long periods in games where they've struggled to score. They had one of those games at the wrong time against the best or 2nd best defense in college basketball. Michigan should return everyone relevant from this year's team save probably Charles Matthews and will be adding a top 50 SF to replace him that can shoot probably better than everyone on the current team and create his own offense. Barttorvik (using this site again its great), they are projecting Michigan to be the number 1 team in CBB next year.
