    They also played the Tigers and Royals 19 times each 41 wins vs the Tigers, Royals and White Sox Makes me wonder how many games the Cubs would have won if they played in the AL Central. 95?

    Sucks that Oakland started out 2-2. We need to win this one to better our 2nd round pick we get from them this year.....there are already 8 teams with a worse record than them, including 6 that are winless.

    Didn’t the Brewers like overpay for Pomeranz? Anyways seeing Hader blow it is amazing but as annoying as the Brewers are hate to see them blow it because of a gaffe by a rookie.

    I don’t think it would be “spending on players is stupid” especially because they signed Corbin in that offseason and just offered Rendon 200+ million. For me it would be more “look what you can get away with when you are consistently developing 4-5 win players during your competitive window”. At least that’s how I think of it as a Cubs fan.

    Might as well just have one big thread. Yes I would prefer the Brewers lose tonight but part of me would find it hilarious if the Nationals again fail to advance in the playoffs even in a 1 game format at home with one of the top pitchers in baseball going against whoever the Brewers are throwing at them.

    Is that good or bad news? the fact that I've seen literally no concern or worry about the status of Trubisky's injury is all you need to know about how Bears fans generally feel about him these days. I actually forgot about the injury until I saw that tweet just now. I'd rather have him play than not play, but it's not like you are going from Rodgers to Brett Hundley here.

    With regards to the offense, I guess I’m a little concerned. Montgomery is not really showing me the tackle breaking ability he was praised for coming out of college. Burton was slightly disappointing last year but he was way more productive than he is this year. Robinson is probably the only consistent skill player on the team. Last year it seemed like our playcalling was a lot more creative and effective. By no means would I say we were a great offense last year but I felt it was adequate with potential for improvement. This year feels like every other good bears team that has a dominant defense that will win you games every week as long as your offense gets out of its way.

    4th and 3 from the 34 is ballsy? Seems like a great time to go for it if you don’t feel comfortable with a FGA You could have punted And they were going to take a DOG to do just that. Punting from the 34 is probably going to net you 14 yards. Might as well just go for it there
