  1. Number of Bears FG attempts that have hit a goal post: 0 I call that a winning offseason
  2. Tim I finally cave. The Bears do not have an elite running game
  3. Wow it would be hilarious if they scored to finish with a 1 score less
  4. What Kyle said is right. I started thinking about possible trades for guys like Rivers and then I realized: Bears don’t have draft capital to trade for him, the Bears need what little capital we have to fix holes that have exposed themselves, Bears might not be able to fit his salary on the roster, and there are so many holes that I’m not sure Rivers would fare much better than Mitch but also even if he did fare better it wouldn’t be enough to save this team. As we said when he was drafted and when we traded for Mack, we mortgaged the future of the team on Mitch panning out. And he didn’t so we are stuck in an impossible situation for salvaging this defensive core. Once again we can’t pick or develop a quarterback. If it doesn’t get better I say horsefeathers it and try to trade back into the draft and start the QB shuffle again. I know trades are not terribly common especially for high 1sts but whatever, dangle Eddie Jackson or whoever else will have value. The Bears are pointless without an at worst average QB.
  5. This will be the first loss by more than 1 score in the Nagy “era”
  6. Funny because it might end up that they took the best option if the Bears continue plummeting and the Packers and 49ers keep dominating. Might? Well the 49ers had what the 2nd pick of the draft last year? Gonna be hard for the Bears to beat that this year even if they are looking like a 5-11 team. But that fact that it’s even close is crazy after how the teams finished last year
  7. Funny because it might end up that they took the best option if the Bears continue plummeting and the Packers and 49ers keep dominating.
  8. Is it just me or has Mack been a nearly complete no show the last 2 games?
  9. Both teams have bad offenses, Saints due to injury situation and both are facing great defenses. So we can really see the difference between the coaches calling the plays. This is...not flattering for Nagy
  10. What a horsefeathering disaster. How do you come out of the bye looking this bad?
  11. At least we can laugh at this now
  12. Who’s worse? There are a lot in the conversation to be fair but it’s tough to make an argument that Mitch is better than many of them
  13. Bears coming off a bye week have 81 total yards in the first half (albeit against a great defense)
  14. I mean could you make a case that Mitch is the worst starting QB in the league right now?
  15. Man I can’t believe how much of a disaster Mitch has been. I figured a guy being picked that high, worst case he’s like a Jay Cutler, flashes of talent but inconsistent and mistake prone. Instead we get a guy who can’t make horsefeathering basic throws. Incredible
  16. 2001-2002 Bears are remarkably similar to the 2018-2019 Bears
  17. Why does it have to be a bottom 5 offense? Why can’t we just have a slightly below average offense to go with our dominant defense? It would make games so much more enjoyable if we could occasionally drive down the field and score points more than 1-2 times a game, but instead it’s like stabbing yourself in the eye to watch bears games
  18. Bears are never going to be able to move the ball effectively until they get the run game going. Looking at that last drive, the Saints aren’t really putting a lot of guys in the box to stop the run because they don’t need to. Then Mitch drops back and there are no receivers open. I think the offensive line is a huge reason why but when the running game is this bad, part of the reason has to be the running backs too. Bears might have botched their offseason approach to the RB position.
  19. 3 and out followed by a special teams blunder for a safety. Great start coming off the bye
  20. Guys no need to discuss our offseason anymore, this guy has the correct answer https://twitter.com/usfan10/status/1185102979998744576?s=21
  21. The illini are one of jamfan’s teams that he’s always complaining about. How did he react to the win?
  22. Wow Lovie! Hell of a time for the Badgers to trail for the first time all year.
  23. Well good break for us re: Saints injuries. Unfortunately with Maholmes out I realized the Bears don’t play the Chiefs until Week 16 so we can’t take advantage there. But the rest of the North also plays the Chiefs. When are their games? Packers: next week Vikings: week after Ugh
