  1. -1st and 10 from the 19 -1st and goal from the 9 -1st and goal from the 4 -1st and goal from the 1 #Bears scored 9 points on those drives and were 1 second away from only getting 6
  2. Wow what a bailout. The Bears ineptitude in the red zone is incredible
  3. My only hope (and I admit it’s a huge pipe dream) is that Trubisky continues to struggle but the Bears scape by for a win and the Bears find a QB at the deadline. I know we don’t have picks but horsefeathers it. We’re screwed either way and Pace will either blow the picks we do have or will consolidate them by trading up so whatever
  4. completely dominating the first 28 minutes and we’ll probably be losing at halftime
  5. I feel like it’s more like “you guys want me to call more running plays? Well here’s your horsefeathering running plays”
  6. FFS Mitch. If you can throw accurately for 8 yards you have a TD FFS Nagy, a sweep play on 3rd and goal from the 9?
  7. Anything but hitting the upright....
  8. And there it is. On a free play, Mitch guns it to miller for 30 yards
  9. I’m wondering if part of the reason Mitch is afraid to scan the field and look past his primary target is that he’s afraid to throw INTs. Mitch has a lot of bad stats but his INT% is fairly decent. Now last year he was extremely fortunate with passes that should have been picked off, but he was also a better QB last year. This would also explain why he’s all the sudden better in situations where he has to improvise and just play with instinct. To save his career he probably needs to open it up and stop worrying about potentially making mistakes. What does he have to lose at this point?
  10. One of the worst DPI calls I’ve seen negates an INT and brings ND off the mat. They hadn’t had a 1st down since the 1st quarter and all the sudden come to life and score a TD. Blah
  11. Holy crap Coby looks like a star out there
  12. Guys I might be a Nationals fan now...
  13. https://www.bleachernation.com/bears/2019/10/24/the-bears-have-a-mitch-trubisky-problem-videos/ A collection of all the video breakdowns people have done on Mitch's decision making last week. I am not an expert on football X's and O's but it seems damning. Like he's making mistakes that someone who doesn't know the playbook and has no football instincts would make.
  14. 1961 Angels - Had some fun teams, Angels in the Outfield, won a title, didn't choke and lose a WS to the Cardinals, and didn't spend a crapload of public money to build a new ballpark when their current one was not only perfectly acceptable but actually kind of nice. 1962 Mets - Miracle Mets, the follow up in 73, those run Doc/Strawberry teams of the 80s, the 86 World Series comeback. Would suck being little brother to the Yankees, but would suck more to have that run of success in the 90s/early 00's and not win a world series out of it, although it would finally be worth it now. 1969...ewww I guess Natspos because Youppi 1977 Blue Jays - Just a more successful team in general. Mariners have only made the playoffs like 4 times and not since 2001, though rooting for Griffey during his prime would have been awesome and Safeco is a great park 1993 Rockies - Strangely choosing the less successful team here in terms of championships but pretty much outside of those 2 seasons rooting for the Marlins would be super depressing and awful. I probably wouldn't even like baseball anymore by now 1998 Rays - And again, foregoing the 1 championship for the fun 08-19 David over Goliath Rays. Close though, I've just liked the Rays vibe a little more than the Diamondbacks over the years. Plus horsefeathers Chris Young
  15. https://twitter.com/markstrot/status/1187362791113535490 Obviously they still hit a ridiculous number of those shots but that is pretty damning defensive performance against the worst team in the league (we think). I saw a lot of bad switches and late close outs which is exactly what I was worried about defensively carrying over from last year. Offense looked mostly fluid during the part of the game I saw which was good and should look even better when LaVine isn't playing terrible.
  16. Bulls are better but I have no idea why people thought they improved by 20+ wins over the offseason +7 or 8 sounds right. Puts them at 29-30 wins and the 7th pick
  17. I'm not sure what they can do to win the grievance unless the Cubs were dumb enough to leave evidence of someone in the Cubs FO stating that they were going to have Bryant start the season in AAA in order to circumvent the MLB's service time rules.
  18. Oh god This reminds me of when they had the candidates do mock postgame press conferences. I think that was the time Sveum was hired
  19. Btw for frame of reference:
  20. This doesn’t seem ideal:
  21. I decided to withhold judgement on Michigan's game against Penn State until I see how they respond this week against ND. It was promising that Michigan outplayed PSU most of the game on the road, but they lost the game because of stupid blunders that shouldn't be made. Either way it was an encouraging step, but if they go out and get pantsed at home against ND then both games were huge disappointments. I have no idea if that makes sense, but thats how I've reconciled it in my mind.
  22. If the Chargers want to leave Rivers in Chicago before/after the game that's fine with me.
  23. If Illinois finishes 4-8 this win won't save anyone's job, if that's what he's alluding to. Even if it did...I get what he's alluding to but horsefeathers dude it's like 5 minutes after your school's biggest win in over a decade....he is also so miserable about his teams. Can he take evem 10 minutes to enjoy a win before griping about the potential negative consequences? It's like he misses the step where its possible to feel joy from sports. When the Cubs won the World Series, literally his first tweet after it occurred was complaining about the Bulls losing that night.
  24. I still have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to go into the season with a 3rd round rookie and a fast but undersized change of pace guy as your 2 leading backs. I mean look at Latavius Murray. He’s getting less than $2m this year and would be a great fit for the offense. I know the Saints line is way better and the Bears line has been awful but you haven’t seen ANY runs broken by Bears RBs this year. Even with a bad line, with a talented back they are occasionally going to break off a long run. For the Bears a long run is like 6 yards. Just don’t get it...
  25. I’m sorry are you fishing for praise? Yes the Saints defense is very good. Mitch has sucked all season against all types of defenses. And the Bears had a really awesome defense last year and I don’t remember them holding any teams to under 100 yards of offense until garbage time.
