  1. Well absolutely terrible day for the Bears draft pick hopes and I don’t think their playoff odds got much better either. All 3 current WC teams won, but the Vikings did lose which helps since they currently have the tiebreaker over us. I’m glad they looked good I guess but we are in NFL hell I guess. I wouldn’t care nearly as much about our draft pick if we had the QB, but since we don’t we’re not bad enough to get a high pick and we’re not good enough to make the playoffs. Also concerned with a decent finish does to our cleaning house
  2. Goodbye Lovie
  3. I know it’s like against the rules now to shoot midrange jumpers but his midrange shot is looking smooth
  4. I also read somewhere that Floyd had 26 pressures last yeah and Quinn only has 7 this year. Yeesh
  5. Ugh, I love going to Kane County games since its 20 minutes from my house and has legit rising prospects playing there. Went to go see several Cubs on their brief stops there over the last several years.
  6. From an Athletic article I read: If interested in the breakdown of all 12 TOs: https://theathletic.com/2247984/2020/12/08/bears-offensive-confusion-timeouts/?source=user_shared_article
  7. They inexplicably started 5-1. I was pointing this out earlier in this thread (I think), there are a ton of bad teams this year. Granted, there are more games to settle things out, chances are the Bears do better then most There is only 3 teams I see us having no shot to pass (JAX, NYJ, CIN). All the other teams are 3-8, 4-8 or tied at 5-7. A lot of these teams have games against each other too, and the Bears themselves have an opportunity to leap over Houston themselves. Presuming no ties, I think the worst the Bears could do (not officially just a guess based on the schedules) is pick 9th if they finish 5-11. I don't think the Bears will finish 5-11 though, they will win at least 1 more which sucks. Like I said earlier, most mock drafts have the top 4 QBs going in the top 10. I actually really like all 4 of them so I really want to be in position for one.
  8. At least you have IU football... (that sounds really strange to say)
  9. I really hope this loss demoralized them. If they lose out they were probably have a pick no worse than like 7th or as high as 3rd. Most mock drafts I see have Lawrence, Fields, Lance and Lane all gone in the top 8. We cannot afford another win this year, which sucks because Jacksonville and Houston are still on the schedule. Shouldnt have an issue losing to Minnesota and Green Bay. If the season ended now wed be 13th I think. That’s not going to work, especially with at least 5 of those teams needing a QB, and you could probably stretch it to 7 teams if Atlanta and Detroit are ready to move on from Ryan and Stafford
  10. When we have a new QB next year to ruin with our highish draft pick we will appreciate the gift from mitch
  11. I find myself desperately hoping ND avoids Alabama in the semifinals (IF THEY MAKE IT caveat of course) just because I know everyone is going to do the whole "they were frauds" thing if they get blown out even though Alabama blew out #5 already and is probably gonna blow out #6 in 2 weeks I guess it would depend on what they mean by frauds. If they get blown out by Bama, then they were fraud contenders most likely. If by frauds they mean ND doesn’t deserve to be in the CFP then obviously that’s wrong. They won all the games on the schedule including Clemson. Not their fault Lawrence caught COVID
  12. I’m already seeing people say the Bears should resign Mitch based on a performance against a Lions team who has given up
  13. Welp, Bears score 23 in the first 2 quarters, 0 again in the third
  14. Only sort of watching but it feels like the Bears pass rush is not doing anything
  15. The bears don’t look like they are doing much different on offense except maybe getting better blocking. Just seems to be working since they are playing a team that has given up
  16. Do Clemson, Bama and Ohio State fans get bored with destroying their obviously inferior competition every week? Each team has like 1-2 “tests” a year and the rest are like non-conference early season cupcakes are for the rest of us. Feel like they should just join their own conference, still play their rivalry games but ultimately all play each other. Conference champ gets a spot in the title game against whoever survives from the other teams. I’m 99.98% kidding with that proposal. But it’s just so clear every year that they are drastically better than everyone and every Saturday I sit down at around 9pm when my kids go to bed looking forward to watching the second half of the primetime game and every week it’s one of those 3 teams and they’re up 30+ points. Edit: and yes I know teams like LSU and FSU have won in the last decade but they are the outliers. FSU has been a crappy team for the last few years and LSU is bad this year. Clemson, Bama and Ohio state don’t take years off and at least 2 of those 3 teams has made the CFP in every single year it’s existed
  17. hey if we can somehow pull this off, i'll count this as a win over OSU on Harbaugh's record Speaking of, rumor is Harbaugh is getting an extension. As I’ve said before, I’m honestly fine with it especially if it’s a 2-3 year extension. This will lock in our 5 star QB, but not a long commitment so if Harbaugh still looks lifeless, can’t beat OSU and fails to develop another talented QB you can cut bait early. As I’ve said before I could go either way on Harbaugh. I do realize why most want him gone and maybe were settling for less than elite by keeping him but the grass isn’t always greener
  18. Out of curiosity, why does he keep getting banned? Didn't one of his last rants start to go into racist rhetoric or something? Might be mixing him up with something else
  19. I posted this earlier but I found record of him being a registered Democrat in Florida. That said, he was listed as inactive so I'm guessing this was back when he was the Marlins TV guy...Obviously the world has changed quite a bit over the last 16 years.
  20. He needs to capstone his Cubs career by coming on and having an NSBB chat, if only to see how bitter and jaded we've gotten as a board.
  21. It's probably not political, but replacing Len (a registered Democrat) with Chris Myers (a registered [expletive]) has to be seen as a win for Sinclair. Theo leaving too. Whether or not its politically motivated, not really great moves to appease the fanbase in this heavily polarized time we live in. Probably shouldn't even bring it up to make literally everything seem political, but since those twitter likes were floating around, I couldn't help but make the connection.
  22. I love Len and think he will have a much better broadcast than Marquee but the first time I hear him getting excited for a White Sox player doing something against the Cubs, I will die inside. I'll just stick with Pat and Ron
  23. Interesting data regarding Non-tenders. Almost half of all NT's and 73% of all money saved came from the Central divisions.
