  1. Taillon season ERA now 7.18 after his 4 IP, 5 ER performance so far. Phantom DL his ass and figure it out. Wesneski can do better than a 7 ERA
  2. Back to back hat tricks from Jesus. I know it’s St Kitts and T+T but impressive
  3. This team is not fun more often than it’s fun
  4. All announced by Stroman. Not sure if any other Cubs made it but we’ll find out in about 30 mins. Congrats! Also advocated for Nico, Adbert and Leiter Jr
  5. With Taillon pitching tomorrow we’re looking at another potential series loss
  6. Stroman putting on a defensive clinic in the 3rd edit: ugh but of course gives up 2 runs despite having 2 outs and no one on
  7. For some reason a ton of individual threads on the forum aren’t working for me including the 7/1 game thread. This is one of the few that does work. Any idea what’s going on?
  8. Heading into unsubtantiated rumors section of the offseason, but there's a twitter account called "DroppingDimes" that has been eerily accurate with rumors on the draft and FA so far this offseason, randomly tweeted "Zach LaVine" and about 5 minutes later deactivated his account lol. If you put stuff together, Dame has requested a trade and wants Miami, Portland is demanding star level player(s) in return, Miami is offering guys like Herro and Duncan Robinson, and suggestions are a 3rd team will need to be involved if he goes to Miami. Maybe POR: LaVine CHI: Herro, Robinson MIA: Dame Obviously with filler and picks and stuff. TBH I like Zach but I wouldn't mind shaking up the dynamic of the team. Not in love with a Herro and Robinson return though.
  9. Seems like a solid bottom 3 depth piece
  10. Last Cubs/Cardinals trade was in 2007 and was extremely minor (John Nelson to Cubs for PTBNL). Last trade of any consequence at all was 2002 with the Cubs sending Jeff Fassero to STL. Last trade of consequence anywhere near Goldschmidt would be the Cubs trading Bruce Sutter in 1980.
  11. 42% from 3 on 4 attempts per game. Not quite a sharp shooter but I'll take it. The Bulls have to be going over the tax at this point right? Edit: I guess they are still under and are still able to afford Ayo if he takes the QO
  12. Somewhat close. Madrigal's was 98.2 and Tauchman's 93.8
  13. Wait Madrigal homered? I'm actually not as surprised as I should be, he's actually been driving the ball fairly deep of late. It was only a matter of time. Wish he didn't use up his one home run of the season in a game we're now leading 9-0 but beggars can't be choosers.
  14. And never play on Sunday. Wow I didn't realize that they were 11-2 on Fridays (if they win) and 2-11 on Sundays. What an odd team....they almost always give you a boost going into the weekend and then also kick you in the nuts when you are looking for a pick me up before work on Monday.
  15. Petition for Steele and Stroman to pitch every game until their arms fall off. I realize there's player and manager voting and Steele still seems to be under the radar but I don't know you can leave him off the All Star team. Sorry in advance for jinxing him
  16. Yeah I can't stand when GMs have a type. It's fine to have certain attributes you value more than others but I've seen stubborn GMs fail due to obsession with a type. AKME is having that same issue for the Bulls with tall athletic players who can't shoot for horsefeathers.
  17. I'm sure the overpay is to get him to sign with a team that has no concerns telling people they don't intend to compete this year (or next). Not saying that makes the signing justified but I'm sure that's why. Davidson said yesterday that their offseason is pretty much done in terms of building next year's roster.
  18. Dammit, I mixed up Placido Polanco and Omar Infante which prevented me from 9/9
  19. Phillies went 5-1 against the cubs after the Cubs embarrassed them last September in Philly
  20. Jeez, they are breezing through these rounds faster than a fantasy football draft
  21. First thought was another dump, but we gave up a pick to grab him so I guess more veteran leadership? Obviously he is pretty hated around the league though
  22. Same. I remember probably 20 years ago my friends used to quiz me by giving me a team and a position and I would name the starter at that position and I was like 95% accurate. Now I'm like 'if the answer is not juan pierre, carlos zambrano, the dude hitting .400 or jeff conine I'm going to fail this category' Anyways, my rarest answer today was Fernando Rodney for Cubs/Nationals (0.4%)
