I pointed that out at the end but guessing you didn’t read all the way or couldn’t help yourself and pointed it out anyways. Let me rant as part of my emotional comedown please lol. Regardless of what date they started on, they are all in the middle of struggling right now. Gomes is the only one my arbitrary starting point might be unfair since he had 2 hits today and might be coming out of it

One loss to the Royals isn’t the end of the world, it’s more about the continuing trend of offensive struggling. This is a game that the Cubs easily win if the offense is performing even average. These slumps can last all month like they did in May or it could be over tomorrow. That’s part of what makes it frustrating.

Bellinger now in a 2 for 15 stretch our 3 runs were scored on an error and 2 well placed ground balls. That’s the best we could manage hitting against pitchers with ERAs all over 4

Pathetic offensive performance after a week of mostly poor offensive performances. Bats need to figure it out quickly. Doesn’t matter what team you are playing, if you can’t hit you’re gonna have a tough time winning. thank you Morel for saving us from going 0-3 at home against 2 teams a combined 70 games under .500

I’ve never been able to handle the fact that in baseball players and teams are just going to slump throughout the season and there’s little you can do about it. It’s insanely frustrating every time it happens.

Really annoying that we let this guy pitch 6 innings. He’s only had 4 starts before this and was a bullpen guy. We could have gotten to their ****** ass bullpen a lot sooner but here he is mowing out our slumping offense with ease

It’s tough with a runner on 1st and 0 outs. He definitely shouldn’t be challenging him early in the count but also don’t want to walk the tying run into scoring position and 0 out. Doesn’t matter though he grooved one right over the plate, that definitely shouldn’t have happened
