  1. This is the first time today that I've let myself think we could possibly win this 1-0 lol
  2. Yep definitely some poor sequencing. Feels like this game is full of examples of bad luck for the Cubs
  3. Had to get one in one of the last 3 innings where we had at multiple runners on base with less than 2 outs each time. That said, that was basically the first 3 innings for the Brewers offense tonight so I guess we're even?
  4. And Happ strikes out on a 57 ft breaking pitch lol
  5. Ugh Nico's had some big situations tonight, hasnt been able to convert. 2-0 count ends with a foul pop up to 1B
  6. Cubs fans: look at Julian Merryweather, he throws 100 mph can you believe it? Counsel: Hmm should I bring in the guy that throws 103, or one of the other 3 guys that can only get up to 100?
  7. YES I've had this thought several times before as well Why don't they just put it over the "0-2" section of the batter part of the graphic?
  8. 10 pitch inning for Leiter. He’s gotta stay in to face Yelich to start the 8th right?
  9. Terrible call completely changes the entire complexion of the inning. Of course Seiya shouldnt have taken strike 3 and Candelario shouldn't have swung at garbage but still
  10. Of course Seiya gets screwed out of ball 4 and then strikes out. Instead of bases loaded 1 outs its 1st and 2nd with 2 outs. horsefeathers umps
  11. Come on no GIDPs, we need to at a minimum get that pitch count higher, though I suppose that just means we get to their lockdown pen sooner.
  12. OH horsefeathers yeah for some reason I was thinking the off day was on Monday. Yeah he'll get an extra day which makes the decision to push him through that inning better, though that just means we don't get to use Steele in the important Cincinnati series.
  13. I was looking at defensive runs saved the other day and thought "theres no way the Brewers can be that much higher than the Cubs". I guess I can see why now.
  14. I dont really care about them but I believe Steele is either leading the league or 1 off the league lead in wins so I'd also love to see a W for him
  15. This has to be Steele's last batter. He has an arguably bigger start on Sunday vs. Cincinnati and is at 110 pitches. Not great Great bounceback though. Was at 71 pitches through 2 innings and finished the last 4 in 40 pitches
  16. Chance to score runs and chance to run up his PC, got a pitch and hit one hard. That’s all you can do Edit: I guess statcast only had it at 71 mph so I guess not that hard, but it was well enough to be a 2 run single with better location
  17. 93 pitches through 5 and 3-4-5 due up the third time through the order. Does Steele go out for 1 more?
  18. Funny get our 2nd hit and its immediately erased with a GIDP
  19. Needed that relatively low PC inning from Steele. Now there’s at least a chance he can pitch 6 full innings
  20. Geez, he’s toying with the Cubs. Think we can win 1-0? the other crappy thing about the Brewers easy win yesterday is they can have the back of their pen jump in once Burnes is done, which based on his PC is gonna he awhile
  21. That was an awful AB by Morel. Guess his mental break isn’t working as well as Seiya’s
  22. Not sure how with the pitch clock but Burnes is somehow working extremely slow.
