  1. What the horsefeathers horsefeathers is Velus Jones doing? Are you kidding me?
  2. Fields nearly tripled Loves yardage that Packers fans were bragging about last night. of course those came on a FB screen, WR screen and a checkdown but that’s what happens when you have elite talent that can make plays and good blocking
  3. Ok so that was a good addition
  4. Short pass accuracy ✅
  5. All that Twitter discourse about how the offense struggling in practice means the defense is actually good… *yes an overreaction but w/e
  6. Yeah the 3-6 winner is locked into playing the 2 seed. It’s not like the NFL where the lowest remaining seed plays the top seed
  7. Brewers defeat the White Sox in 10 innings. Cubs will remain 2.5 GB
  8. Yes of course I'd prefer the division but there's really not *that* much difference to me assuming the Central winner is the 3rd seed. Yes the WC round is played at home which is a benefit, but HFA doesnt seem that big to me, especially in a place like Milwaukee which is close enough to draw plenty of Cubs fans and a familiar overall ballpark. Also the Cubs are something like 1-7 in their last 8 playoff games at Wrigley. Not that it has much to do with how this years team would do, but its not such a giant advantage that I'd say the WC spot excites me any less. Just make the playoffs and win as many games as you can.
  9. Like using Alzolay here. 2 days off before this, an off day coming on Monday and Thursday.
  10. Marlins lose, Cubs back to a tie WC3. Looking like the night will end with the Cubs percentage points ahead of the Reds and 1/2 game up on the Marlins. (And hopefully 1.5 GB the Brewers)
  11. Eloy finally helping the Cubs out with a 2 run blast vs Milwaukee
  12. Can’t believe I was questioning his pitch count in the 3rd inning and here he is an out from finishing the 7th
  13. Yankees still up 7-4 over Marlins in 7th Reds up 6-0 now Phillies up big too but they are so far away at this point unfortunately Brewers tied 2-2 with the White Sox
  14. Are you commenting on his weight or that he’s an obscure player? Because he has 1000 MLB PA, .760ish career OPS and an all star game appearance
  15. What kind of PC do you think Assad is on at this point? He's at 48 through 3 IP
  16. Yankees up 7-3 over Marlins Reds up 3-0 over Pirates
  17. The Blue Jays and A's are tied for the least number of all-time games played against the Cubs with 18. The Cubs have visited Toronto 5 times now, but the Jays have only come to Wrigley twice, which I'm guessing is the least amount for any team in baseball. I can't even really think of too many memorable Cubs/Jays moments. One that stands out was in 2017 when the teams went into the 10th inning tied at 3 and the Jays scored 2 runs in the top of the 10th, followed by the Cubs getting 3 in the bottom of the inning to win the game, with the key hit being Alex Avila's single, and Javy with his amazing pop up slide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6zQv7_G_E4 The only other games I can remember are Sergio Mitre before we knew he was a scumbag outdueling Roy Halladay at Wrigley in 2005, and the Cubs again getting a win against Halladay in 2008 to put themselves 20 games over .500 in mid-June.
  18. And similar to the Braves last Friday, the Cubs had a day off yesterday and presumably were in Toronto while the Jays were finishing up a series in Cleveland. Their game was a day game, but it was on the road so they had to travel afterward.
  19. Pretty sure Apple TV+ broadcast is in 1080p and Marquee broadcasts in something closer to 720p, so that be part of the reason the broadcast looks sharper (in addition to sleek graphics, etc). I like it much better than the Peacock broadcasts at least, though horsefeathers streaming.
  20. Apparently Adams deal to Cheslea is off
  21. Yes but Cade Horton is the 4th best pitching prospect in baseball according to that list. I can't remember if that was you or Tom that was pushing back on that or what the parameters were. Edit: nvm it looks like the argument was that he was a top 5 prospect in baseball I think, which in that case no, he's 30
