Yeah outside of the HR he was nearly perfect. Steele is still my dude but almost trust Taillon more than any other starter based on how they’re currently pitching

Matt Olson and Pete Alonso have combined for 5 HRs against the Cubs over the last 4 games. Good stuff

Carrasco’s ERA over his last 4 starts is 12.33 and he failed to make it through 3 innings in 2 of those starts. Scoreless 1st so far

No Seiya again tonight. I'm not necessarily clamoring for him but kind of crazy that he's gone from everyday starter to completely off the radar in terms of playing time, not even as a PH. Fake edit: I guess he did get a PH appearance yesterday when I wasn't paying attention (and struck out) so I guess its not a complete benching, but hopefully they're either giving him a mental break and/or working on something with him.

Oh that's great. I don't even dislike the White Sox anymore but I still enjoy laughing at their conversations.

Wait I thought their forum closed down several years ago. Did it get reborn again somewhere? I miss reading their Cubs sub-forum with some of the most deranged takes on the Cubs I've ever seen. They used to have an ongoing thread keeping track of the number of stories about the Cubs and White Sox in the Tribune and Sun-Times and thats barely scratching the surface.

Not surprisingly Umpire Scorecard was a bloodbath I realize we lost by 9 but +2 runs to the Mets is terrible.

The Cubs have been playing so well that I can’t count them out scoring 5 runs off the Mets pen in 3 innings but I kind of want them to just call it and save our arms.

Dansby’s power surge has been awesome but seems like his K% is also skyrocketing lately. 9 K in his past 20 AB including 2 tonight.

Cody horsefeathers Bellinger is unreal. Gotta be up to .330 for the season now.

Man that strike 3 to Nico was killer. Looks like it hit the tiniest inch of black but that call could have easily been a ball. Cost them bases loaded, 0 outs situation and now they need some Bellinger heroics to score this inning.
