  1. I was so sad when we traded Javy and thought I would miss his swagger and enthusiasm for the game. I’d say Morel is a bit less swag but twice the enthusiasm so we ended up on top there
  2. Off the bat, it looked to me more like something that would land for a bloop hit rather than a home run
  3. Brewers lose, Cubs now 2.5 back in the division and percentage points ahead of the Marlins and Reds in the Wild Card.
  4. In case anyone is interested, our old friend Len Kasper’s call. He sounded excited and then remembered he is the white Sox announcer now.
  5. Why question is why didn't Morel just do that in the Mets game?
  6. I love how Adbert always gets into the locker room and immediately tweets about the game
  7. Pat's call from our old friend Randall (I cant even remember his NSBB handle back in the day):
  8. Guys I'm not going to lie, I already had a "Man that was a terrible AB Morel" post typed up after he swung through the first 2 pitches lol
  9. Michael Fulmer you have entered my circle of trust. Couldn't have done this without him
  10. lol Morel looked so bad on those first 2 pitches, but all he needs is a hanger
  11. Would be a pretty cool moment if Morel walked it off
  12. He's 2 for his last 27? I get it though, put him in a good matchup for him and maybe he gets a hit and starts breaking out of the slump.
  13. We're going to go at least 6 days between Cubs wins. After watching them win almost every night for 3 weeks, this is like going cold turkey. I miss that momentary feeling when I wake up and my brain is still getting out of sleep mode when a thought flashes across my mind "oh yeah the Cubs won against last night" and ever so slightly starts my morning off a little better. Yes I'm weird. Edit: I spent years training myself to not call a game over until its over and then I slip For shame
  14. Against a team that I assume has seen him a lot in the past
  15. I knew it. You could just feel the slump coming I have a supernatural feeling for these things.* I didnt watch or follow this one because of my supernatural feeling *that supernatural feeling might just be making pessimistic statements until one is possibly correct edit:
  16. That’s when you know the offense is struggling, when they get 2 on and 0 out and a runner on 3rd with 1 out situation for your best hitter and don’t score. or maybe it’s just a frustrating inning
  17. To be fair, the Z incident was more of Barrett getting punched by Zambrano and him defending himself.
  18. Serious question, do they still actually give out the Cup or celebrating winning it? I remember a few years back they would always gather around on the field and take a photo with it but I don't remember seeing that the last couple of seasons.
  19. Is Keegan Thompson figuring it out at all in Iowa or is he still having issues?
  20. Never quite seen a play like this before
  21. Any chance the Cubs consider Jordan Wicks for some starts? I'm guessing they won't because he's about to hit his high in IP. After tomorrow the Cubs play 27 games in 27 days so there's really no opportunity to skip over someone. Rotation will be Steele, Taillon, Hendricks, Assad, Smyly unless they give Wesneski another shot. They will not let Kilian have another shot (I hope)
  22. Yikes, so basically don't expect him back this year Also, with an ERA over 9 his last 6 weeks of starts and then a potential season ending injury....is he more likely to opt in now?
