  1. He was....he said he was friends with Kirk and would text with him after every Cubs win. Kirk's wife invited him and they connected due to their shared faith. 🤮 Interested to see what reaction, if any, he gets when he comes up to bat for the first time tonight.
  2. I'm interested in whether the Bears defense was actually decent on Sunday. The Cowboys outgained them for the game ending up with 396 total yards. The Bears got 4 turnovers - after drives of 53 yards, 91 yards, 35 yards and 30 yards. But at the same time much of the 4th was garbage time (the first 3 TOs listed above were in the 4th) and the Bears did a decent job in the middle quarters of slowing them down. And obviously you can't dismiss the 4 turnovers as pure luck.
  3. Sorry if this was already posted because I guess its been out there for over half a day but here's Shaw "grieving" his "good friend" Charlie Kirk yesterday while his team was busy getting shut out by the Reds:
  4. If anyone likes watching these breakdowns, for the first time this year JT has posted his Caleb analysis for free on Youtube
  5. I mean like, I didn’t retroactively denounce the 2016 Cubs World Series because Addison Russell turned out to be a POS. I still watch the highlights he was involved with and remember them fondly. But I can’t deny that his involvement in those plays sours them at least a little and I wish it was someone else that hit those balls and made those plays. So yeah I’m not going to be pissed off and not enjoy Shaw hitting a pennant winning HR, but I’d probably wish it was someone else who hit it.
  6. Well Tom was heading there anyways, seems like the nice thing to do.
  7. He also missed most of a prior game on the day he died which wasn’t reported to be because of Kirk but seems pretty clear that it was at this point. If some random left winged personality died I wouldn’t be ok with a player missing 2 games either unless they were legitimately friends.
  8. There is no way they were actual real friends right? Politics aside (I mean that's its own discussion), you excuse him from a game to attend the funeral of some public personality he likely hardly knows? Pathetic... I really wish I didn't know his politics because he's a fun young player, but now I can't disassociate the connection.
  9. Chase Daniel is gushing over Caleb on twitter lol
  10. This is fun. Definitely a lot of issues but we got better this week and have the Raiders next week with a chance to get the season somewhat back on track.
  11. Billy Wade had 466 yards in the 60s but the most recent was Jim Miller who had 422 passing yards in 1999. There have only been 4 in Bears history and 3 of them happened between 1962 and 1965
  12. I’m cursing things by saying this but at halftime Caleb is 161 passing yards away from the first Bears 400 yard passing game this millennium
  13. It feels like even if things are going well for the Bears Moore’s time in Chicago may be short
  14. There’s Swift the way he needs to be used but then he takes early down carries and gets blown up constantly. Major hole to not have another reliable RB
  15. Figured we’d probably still lose even when up 14-3, but didn’t think it would be this quick. There’s just way too many fatal flaws on this team
  16. What the horsefeathers happened to him? He’s been streaky in the past but he has way more than enough of a track record to think he’s this bad
  17. I just can’t remember ever being less excited about a Cubs playoff team. Maybe they’ll get it together but we’ve been waiting for it since July
  18. Gotta be a bottom 5 defensive line in the league right?
  19. I’m sure this will be the year I win the Cubs playoff lottery and they’ll end up playing in SD
  20. Ok so already we’ve had a horrible kickoff return to put us in bad field position, 3 plays for -4 yards, mediocre punt coverage to give them the ball near midfield. This team looks locked in
  21. Good thing we have an elite punter to get us out of this terrible field position
  22. I’m ready to get hurt again.
