    Hell definitely go another with the bottom of the order due up. Just don’t know if he’ll pitch into the 6th with the top of the order due up for the 3rd time (if he retires the Brewers in order in the 5th)

    Will happily say that I was completely against starting Boyd in game 1 and completely for him starting tonight. Also I would avoid Shota like the plague in Game 5 if we get there.

    With Boyd pitching so well do continue to pitch him if he gets through 7-9 next inning (aka a 3rd time through the order), or not mess with it and go to the pen?

    52 pitches through 2 for Peralta but Im not sure it’s a good thing necessarily for the pen to be in especially with an off day tomorrow (if the Cubs win) so no one would be down if the pen has to throw extended innings

    I see we’ve gone into our post-1st inning offensive slumber once again.

    I get ya but is the (I think) 29th playoff win in the last 80 years of Cubs baseball. They should all be enjoyed.

    We didn’t take advantage of it but the scheduling allowed us to get our bullpen rested after the WC round and allows us to use our Game 1 starter in Game 4 (gulp). Helps both teams to some degree.

    horsefeathers being in Europe is hard. Passed out on accident literally 15 mins before game started, woke up in bottom of the 8th and watched the end. Now have to somehow go to sleep for a couple hours before heading back to the airport. If the Phillies win I land at O’Hare 2 hours before game 4 starts. Go Cubs!

    Jeez, HRs have always been an issue for Shota but this is insane. He’s hardly worth playing with the number of bombs he gives up.

    This. There’s no reason to burn turner in the lineup when there’s a chance a lefty comes in later in a big spot

    Watch this be the day of the week the Cubs are allowed to surpass 4 runs scored only to lose 11-5

    And in 2/3 of an inning Boyd has allowed almost as many runs as the entire staff allowed against the Padres (albeit with an error)
