  1. Hendry: Winter 05: "I've decided that I like guys who catch the ball" YOU SURE DO YOU IDIOT
  2. Does anyone know what door Hendry usually leaves Wrigley Field at? I would like to have a small chat with him. I'm serious. I just threw a temper tantrum in my office. This is absolutely a crime against all Cubs fans. I want to have the baseball version of a jihad against the Cubs management.
  3. YES WE HAVE TWO NEIFIS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 JIM HENDRY YOU STUPID STUPID IDIOT. YOU ARE SO STUPID AND DUMB AND STUPID. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GET A LOBOTOMY ON AUGUST 1, 2004?!?!! WHY ARE YOU STILL THE GM!>!>! THANKS FOR RUNNING BACKWARDS
  4. Bye Todd, please speak your mind on the way out
  5. You think the Cubs will score against Webb? Mr. Positivity... Zambrano PH HR
  6. ok, now that would be the opposite team getting fleeced
  7. I have been following the ESPN Rob Neyer chat, and Buster Onley broke in to report that the rumor is the Red Sox and Braves are talking about a trade that would swap Andruw Jones to the Sox for Coco Crisp, Craig Hansen and another prospect (likely to be Jon Lester). If so, thats an interesting trade. I think the Sox would be giving up way too much, when they need starting pitching.
  8. Yeah I'm not going to watch him turn into a .315/.400/.500/.900 player with you guys
  9. Judging by the trades made the last few days, it seems like a buyers market, and we won't end up getting as much as we thought. But then again, things can change dramatically over the last few hours as teams get desperate
  10. C'mon Jim, make this happen. With all due respect to Maddux, if we can get 1 good prospect for Maddux, you have to do it. TWO prospects from their very good AAA team, its a no brainer. I don't care who they are, as long as they are decent and worth playing for the rest of this year. Cubs fans need hope right now. Let's do this. Also, its obvious no bridges are being burned in this situation. It seems that both sides want Greg back after his career is over for front office position. Its a longshot, but if hes been in the Cubs management for 4-5 years, when he gets inducted into the HOF....

??? Grossman, Bradley, Berrian, Mike Brown, Benson, and Thomas Jones were all injured last year. The Bears had some signifigant injuries last year. I meant on Defense. Mike Brown is the only defensive player that you mentioned, and he didnt get injured until around Week 14. When the Bears made their 8 game winning run, the defense was almost completely healthy. I just can't see a unit remain as healthy as they did last year

The fact that they remained so healthy last year worries me. Its nearly impossible for an NFL team to have a unit so healthy all year long. The Bears have depth in some areas, but not others.
  13. No offense to Maddux, but I'd rather get something for nothing. Baseball is a business, one that the Cubs have been bad at for 97 years (not talking financially)
  14. Yeah right. Spier will be too hungover to make it to the park that early.
  15. ^^ in the 7th, Novoa hit Rolen in the lower back. It was obviously unintentional, since the Cubs were holding a 3 run lead and there was 2 men on with 1 out I believe. In the 8th, Looper hit Ramirez's behind with 2 outs and no one on base, trailing by 1 run. Ramirez took 1-2 steps towards the mound, started to slow down when Molina grabbed him and 'held him back'. So when do games against real opponents start
  16. Boy, I'd look forward to that annual matchup between the Southsiders and the Southeastsiders
  17. Geez, how many times is Pujols going to come up in a big situation and get out this series?
  18. The proposal calls for a temporary stadium to be built, so I don't think so. But if the Cubs were to build a ballpark in a new location that would retain its fans, a stadium on the lakefront near downtown would be a good spot.
  19. Wow thats gonna be spectacular if he can do that, especially if he hits in his ordinary 3 spot
