  1. Why does it seem like once again, the most viable player on the market (Drew) is again being ignored? Edit: OMG 9999, I had no clue!
  2. Next year maybe Zambrano can win more the 24% of the teams overall wins and finish in the top 4
  3. I heard about that....apparently Tom Brady players a LOT better on turf, so they decided to install it in Foxboro...pretty dumb
  4. 18-30 for 246 yards and 3 TDs (with 1 INT) is considered doing 'nothing' in the bad weather?
  5. So.. Cubs trade: Jones, Howry, Dempster, Prior, Moore, Marshall Cubs receive: Burrell, Rodriguez Phillies trade: Burrell, Rowand Phillies receive: Jones, Howry, Dempster White Sox trade: Garcia White Sox receive: Rowand Yankees trade: Rodriguez Yankees receive: Garcia, Prior, Moore, Marshall
  6. If Michigan wins, doesn't that help ND's SOS even more, even though they lost? I don't think the computers take into account rematches. BTW, I am now kinda hoping for a rematch in the NC game. I remember how fun it was in 1996 with FSU and Florida
  7. For some reason, they moved the Giants/Titans game to the 4:15 slot as well. Both of those games feature road NFC teams, meaning they will both be on Fox. I don't see why they'd want to put both of those games on the late broadcast. Maybe since the Jets are doing decent they want to separate the times of the teams games so that they can get a wider viewing audience for each? Thats my best guess.
  8. Good question...my guess is that it would be placed at the spot of the kick, not a safety. Reason being, if a player on the opposing team managed to get a finger on the kick and it ended up resulting in a missed FG that bounced out of the back of the end zone it would not be a safety.
  9. Yes, Wikipedia is great....except I wonder how long it would take them to catch it if I added that Ted Washington also returned a missed FG for a TD thanks to excellent blocking by Mr. T and the rest of the A team.
  10. No, I read somewhere that if he didn't attempt to return it and took a knee, the Bears would have gotten it at the 42 as if he didn't catch it. But once he tried to return it, he ran the risk of taking it wherever he was tackled. That's why the Giants were walking off the field, because they assumed that the Bears were going to accept the good field position and not even dare attempt a return.
  11. Sad thing is, that is what you have to pay if you want a top of the rotation starter...even if he is overrated
  12. Anyone notice that Moose had 2 tackles last night to go along with his 137 yards receiving and 1 TD?
  13. Wow, stop doing positive things Cubs...you are really starting to scare me.
  14. I love how one coach can "own" another with only 5 games played. Michigan/OSU games are almost ALWAYS close, even in down years for either side. 2005: 25-21 OSU 2004: 37-21 OSU 2003: 35-21 MICH 2002: 14-9 OSU 2001: 26-20 OSU 2000: 38-26 MICH 1999: 24-17 MICH 1998: 31-16 OSU 1997: 20-14 MICH 1996: 13-9 MICH 1995: 31-23 MICH 7 of the last 11 games decided by 8 points or less
  15. I gotta wonder...where did all those people go that was violently opposed to picking up Soriano at the trading deadline in 2005? What changed besides a contract year outburst?
  16. As fun as a week in Jersey City is....I think they will stick to the comfort of Lake Forest. Why not be treated like Demi-Gods strolling the affluent neighborhoods of the North Suburbs?
  17. I could care less what kinda 'respect' Michigan gets. They can get all the respect that they want on Saturday afternoon.
  18. They don't spend enough time on these articles. They basically see a FA, and predict where they go. They don't take time to look at each individual teams, their situations, etc. If the Cubs only got those guys, fans would literally burn Jim Hendry at the stake.
  19. Just read on NFL.com that the Bears/Patriots game has been changed to a 3:15 CST start on FOX. NBC will pick up the Eagles/Colts game for their SNF game.
  20. I think we are hurtling towards 13-3 at the worst. That should lock up the #1 seed. Basically we need to go 5-2 the rest of the season at Jets - Pretty good shot at a win at Pats - Tough game, could lose vs. Vikings - Should win this one at Rams - On MNF in a dome, could be a loss vs. Bucs - Should be a win at home at Lions - No reason we can't win vs. Packers - Only thing that puts doubt in my mind is Favres last game, but the way things seem to be heading, he'll be back next year Thats 5-2, for a 13-3 record
  21. I'm actually a little surprised that Michigan didn't jump OSU in the BCS standings. Oh well, what's one more week of waiting ;) BTW, other then Mark R, who are the resident Buckeye fans on this board?
  22. What a difference a weekend makes Last weekend: -Bulls piss away home opener to Sacramento -Michigan almost loses at home to Ball State and looks to be no match for OSU -Bears play like crap and lose at home to Miami This weekend: -Bulls play crappy, but beat solid Indiana team -Michigan dominates Indiana on the road, giving me renewed confidence heading into OSU -Bears play great on the road, make the plays needed and beat the Giants. BTW, it was really nice to see a Bears game that wasn't either: A) A blowout B) A sloppily played win Yes there were sloppy moments in this game, but even though the Bears ended up winning by 18, it really felt like a competitive football game between 2 of the conference elite, with the Bears looking like the better team in the end. As great as it would have been to win by 40, I really enjoyed a back and forth football game that ended up with the Bears winning for once. This is what I dreamed about during those 4-12 seasons.
  23. boy was I wrong. not only am I p'd about not getting OSU this year, the terrible officiating in the UM game is looming larger and larger. I honestly don't think your good enough to be a national title contender, but then again I think you guys have played well enough to deserve a chance to prove that you are. With the Big 10 being as down as it is, you pretty much needed to win all your games to be considered for the title.
  24. I'm getting nervous. You think Bradley will play in the slot?
