  1. Does it matter what game you have the VWR's open for? Last year I could have sworn it didn't. I want opening day too, so that's why I'm asking. I cant remember...probably not though. Looks like there is no unique character in the address that gives away the game. Oh well
  2. Got 49 windows open. All for opening day....if I get those tickets then I'm going to try for White Sox and then Cardinals.
  3. Why are we getting excited for the VWR to open? Isn't 10:00 our big time?
  4. Go to the "view your posts" in the right upper corner. Or don't you like it up there and would rather have it on the threads? I've always wanted it on the actual posts
  5. fixed for me
  6. I can't even refesh realgm or basketballboards right now...reminds me of NSBB on 7/31
  7. Didn't Todd Bell and Al Harris hold out the entire 1985 season for the Bears and miss out on Super Bowl rings?
  8. I went to the Phillies park in Clearwater last year and had a lot of fun. Cheap tickets, good seats, etc. Worth checking out.
  9. Nope, they just give out random numbers. Last year I got like 12,500 and my roommate 2,103 and we were back to back
  10. I have to say, those are pretty funny shirts. Awww...that so sweet. It's good to see "The Barry's" who play for a team in San Fran, have found each other. That is so sweet. Interesting anecdote: A friend of my cousin knows a guy who works at a t-shirt kiosk in the mall in Scottsdale. One of the other emplyees sold them these shirts. The funny part is they tried to get shirts that said, "don't ask me, ask overpaid prima donna," and "don't ask me ask the over-rated King Kong head", but it wouldn't fit on the shirt. If thats true, that's hilarious
  11. Anyone get a wristband yet? How was the experience this year? Did they use the stadium club this time or the weird building on Clark street?
  12. Looks like a good overall team but the pitching looks a little thin. The offense should be solid though.
  13. I read somewhere a few days ago that Lou believes in keeping the 5 man in tact throughout the season, and he would do so in April as well.
  14. Anyone interested in going after Iguchi
  15. And yet people still bring up Sammy Sosa's frequent late departures EVERY YEAR
  16. Haha, judging by this thread, its gonna be a fun season over here at NSBB!
  17. I love this line
  18. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6485778 So I guess Rivera wasn't that essential to the Bears success.. Have the Chargers hired anyone for defense yet? If not maybe Rivera is going there to help Turner. From that same article:
  19. Interesting news from Foxsports.com http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6485778 So I guess Rivera wasn't that essential to the Bears success..
  20. No wonder the Cubs are so bad. Their best players (Murton and Hill) don't even get a chance to play. What a crock of crap
  21. The two most scrutinized athletes in Chicago besides Rex Grossman, together smiling and healthy.
  22. So he's predicting the last game of the season against the Reds on September 30th is going to go 40 innings and end at 12:01 AM on Oct 1 It almost scares me how many confident promises Lou delivers. I mean you can't predict what can happen between now and October.
  23. You're right, the Cubs have given me lots of reasons not to overreact over the last 99 years...
  24. Yeah, definitely retired. Guy went from the peak of his career in 03-04 to retired 2 years later.
  25. i would mull rooting against them if that happened. Agreed. They would deserve to lose fans. I doubt it happens though. If Hill is clearly the better starting pitcher I think he will pitch and start. I think Miller would be the first to go over Marquis and others. His contract is manageable and can be easily released if necessary. Whats the date that we can start trading newly signed players? Isn't it like June 1? If he pitches well out of a long relief role, we'd at least be able to get a midlevel prospect for him.
