  1. 12 outs to score as many runs as we had hits in the first 15 outs of the game.
  2. Unlike the Cubs, the Cardinals have four guys come up each year and look like Hall of Famers. They signed Tony Womack the year after he stunk for us and he even looked like an all star. jeff weaver, bo hart, fernando tatis, etc. John Rodriguez. Ankiel.... Oh yeah I forgot about j-rod. they have so many of them. What happened to John Rodriguez??
  3. I have a feeling this time around the order is going to hurt Rich Hill
  4. At least they are hitting him a little harder?
  5. AIM Chatname again is 'cardssuck' if anyone is interested
  6. Not sure but I just started one called 'cardssuck' if you guys want in
  7. C'mon Kendall, show why you hit over .500 against Looper in your career.
  8. A team on average will score more runs with the pitcher batting 8th. The impact is just about 2-3 runs a year. How would you prove that? Anyone ever done it? If that is true why is LaRussa the only one smart enough to figure that out and implement it.
  9. Here comes the 'second leadoff hitter'
  10. Well, that's a little of an exaggeration don't you think. His ERA is 5.01, if you count that as almost 6 :D This is the one Cardinals pitcher who the Cubs cannot seem to figure out, and I'm not sure why. It's not that he's just a bad pitcher, or the Cubs offense, because they hit the other pitchers just fine for the most part. Whoops, for some reason I thought it was higher, my bad!
  11. Braden Looper is a stud. Oh wait his ERA is almost 6? Crap
  12. Lee would have struck out on that
  13. How many was it that inning? 17, luckily he got Punjols on 1 pitch 2 pitches
  14. I think the rivalry is fun. I always jaw with Cubs fans at Wrigley but afterwards we always shake hands. Anyway, I'll stay out of this thread. Baseball is serious business. You're always welcome here, we know you come in good fun, but you understand the effects of rubbing things in on a Cubs biased board.
  15. Lets see if anyone else can get it. has to be something with hair because i know biotin is used for hair growth... maybe because we pull our hair out every year and especially last year? Hmm no Picture 1. Band Picture 2. Rubber Band Picture 3. BMW B7 Picture 4. Vitamin B7 If you don't understand B7, look at your keyboard and it should make sense.
  16. Lets see if anyone else can get it.
  17. Why would he want to distract the Cubs fans from the Cubs whoopin the Cards? Your not making sense. Has going 8-7 in your last 15 games made you delirious? Haha 1908 1908 1908 http://www.razzmajazz.com/_borders/Razz%20Marching%20Band%20Fun%20Shot.jpg http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11126564/Rubber_Bands.jpg http://allworldcars.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2006/07/2006_bmw_alpina_b7.jpg http://www.worldofmolecules.com/supplements/biotin_b7.jpg The last 2 references might be harder to understand than the first 2.
  18. Why would he want to distract the Cubs fans from the Cubs whoopin the Cards? Your not making sense. Has going 8-7 in your last 15 games made you delirious?
  19. What is this contagious? ARam and DeRo, stay away from Lee and Zambrano.
  20. Post of the day. Gotta win three of four. Totally agree. How can they be surging with that staff? They have been surging due to Reyes, Wells, and now Piniero all pitching well. Since the AS break Reyes has an ERA+ of 151, Wells has an ERA+ of 125, and Piniero has an ERA+ of 160 in his 3 start. Actually I didn't realize that, wow. Kip Wells in July and August: 3-2 3.28 ERA Anthony Reyes in July and August: 2-1 3.00 ERA Joel Piniero as a Cardinal: 2-1 2.84 ERA Braden Looper in July and August: 4-3 5.84 ERA Adam Wainright in July and August: 5-2 2.62 ERA Looks like the Cardinals rotation other then Looper is rounding into form. For comparison: Carlos Zambrano in July and August: 5-3 3.18 ERA Rich Hill in July and August: 1-2 4.68 ERA Sean Marshall in July and August: 1-3 5.20 Jason Marquis in July and August: 4-3 5.63 ERA Ted Lilly in July and August: 7- 1 3.66 ERA
  21. Cubs finally get some hits off of Looper, DeRosa with a HR as the Cubs win 6-4
