  1. Yeah but it was Victor (Blank) Diaz that got the RBI
  2. He can't come back in after leaving in the 6th. Oh Gallagher!
  3. That error guarentees that Soriano will have another AB today in the 9th
  4. SORI! SORI! SORI! SORI! At this pace he might have 2 more ABs after this one
  5. It should be much more than that Can't you be happy that we scored 2 runs in the first inning? Of course we are. Isolate the at bats from the game situation. Didn't Jones look terrible in his AB? Should I be happy that he hit that way because we scored 2 runs in the inning? Would you be happy if it was the bottom of the 9th in a tie game with the bases loaded? No, but that's a completely different situation. Obviously if he K'd with the game on the line, I'd be pissed off. I watched the first inning, walked upstairs after it ended, and all the posts in here were bitchy and moany. It's just silly. I don't think its silly. They are pissed about about how Jock and Izzy suck at offense. If they had decent numbers this year and had a bad AB it could be excused. But the bottom line is that their numbers show that this type of thing is going to happen more often then it won't. But yes, I do like the 2 runs.
  6. See this is why you need to score more than 2 with no outs in the first inning. Marshall seems to have trouble locating..
  7. And Theriot had a great hack at a fastball about a foot off the plate too. Yeah but he hasn't been a wad of suck all year like the other two clowns. A .685 OPS is a pretty big wad of suck. Not at all equal to the ones Jones and Izturis have been working on this season, but still pretty impressive. .335 OBP is not great, but certainly not terrible. OBP should be rated more than SLG in this case

  9. Seriously please trade Jones. He is not good at baseball
  10. Even I predicted that breaking pitch to Izzy on the 0-2 count. Of course that idiot swings at it. What a disgraceful inning by the lower part of the order. I know we scored two, but I feel sick to my stomach about that performance. We couldn't even get a sack fly or a run home on a double play
  11. The damn Cubs are about to turn a game that they could have finished in the first inning into a game that they will likely blow and lose
  12. C'mon Theriot, terrible decision there
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSc-ZWSwn6Y (Oh crap you said greatest Cub moments...)
  14. Interesting. I would like for us to draft offense damn it. :) Why? We can't develop offense anyways. At least pitchers we have a decent track record with
  15. The Marlins are better than the Cubs. Come on, you knew someone was going to say it. Well they did just sweep us at home just over a week ago
  16. I think barring a major slump he is here to stay. His walk numbers weren't great in the minors, but he has been semi-selective in the bigs, so I expect him to only have a slightly below average OBP. Add his defense and his speed and he is looking like a player that will find his way in the lineup 5 out of every 7 games or more.
  17. I'm late but http://gamescreenshots.gamesurf.tiscali.it/gallery/data/1166/63331Mortal_Kombat1Gameplay_FinishHim.jpg
  18. Haha. Like he has any trade value. If Neifi could get us a AA catcher, surely someone that hit 27 HRs last year could fetch something for him Not too many teams are going to be interested in a corner outfield with a .650 OPS You'd be surprised. Especially because the Cubs will just be looking for mid to low level prospects at this point
