  1. Figures, our pitcher with a 2.12 ERA coming in pitches against their pitcher with a 6.49 ERA and their pitcher stays in the game longer.
  2. Send 8 hitters to the plate, get 2 runs. Thats the minimum you can score when you get that many hitters to the plate. Oh well, it was still a nice inning. It doesn't feel like 4 runs is going to be enough today though
  3. Pie has been ice cold. He needs to step it up starting now.
  4. 6-0 Brewers after 2. Lincecum getting killed.
  5. Definitely looks like this game will lower his ERA
  6. Wow, I didn't even catch that. You just gained yourself another voter as I had yet to vote in your thread.
  7. Hilarious video of Roger Clemens in 2057 http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/6562
  8. I say that we bean Victor Diaz everytime up
  9. Any word on who will be the DH today? Its a little ridiculous that this is our first game in an AL park this year. Some choices -Jones (RF) and Floyd (DH) in the lineup -Theriot (DH), Fontenot (2B), DeRosa (3B), Izturis (SS) -Koyie Hill © and Barrett (DH) I'll go with Koyie and Barrett My guess is lineup will look like: Soriano, LF Pie, CF Lee, 1B Floyd, RF Barrett, DH DeRosa, 3B Fontenot, 2B Theriot, SS Hill, C
  10. Why does everyone hate the Lakers? They are about to give the Bulls Kobe for .60 on the dollar.
  11. bhogg is a tough matchup. In my defense, let me say that Serena can back me up on this, but my game thread record probably compares favorably to the Game thread pimp himself bhogg.
  12. I'm riding his hot streak on my fantasy team...his BABIP worries me though
  13. Normally I'd say that would be Sooooo Cub, but when Bonds was sitting on 713 last summer with a series against the Cubs coming up, we kept him in the park (thanks to Juan Pierre)
  14. On the broadcast today, they mentioned that 10 players on the team are from their own system. and the Cubs have 8 or 9 EDIT: 10 actually, assuming none of these guys came over in a trade that I don't remember: Gallagher Hill Marmol Marshall Ohman Wuertz Zambrano K Hill Theriot Pie Interesting that most of our homegrown players are pitchers, while a majority of the Brewers are positional players.
  15. Milwaukee Brewers last pennant...1982. Chicago Cubs last pennant....1945. I feel no sorrow. Oh I agree, but at least we've seen 4 playoff appearences, a division title and a playoff series win since then. I was born in 1983, so for me we've both been suffering my whole life.
  16. You know what, I still want the Brewers to lose and hope the Cubs get their crap together, but I find it hard to hate this Brewers team. Sure they are our "rivals" or something, but this team has suffered with sub-.500 teams for so long in a small market that its good to see that planning and smart GM moves have got this team good again. It's refreshing to see after watching the Cubs flounder with their one year plans year after year. So my point is, if the Cubs continue to flounder, I am rooting for the Brewers to win in the playoffs.
  17. Where are you getting 1 game from, the man is serving 5 like Lee. And does anyone know what Gerald Perry did, I know he got thrown out along with Peavy but I never heard why. Hes a starting pitcher he misses 1 start And he'll probably appeal until the Padres have an offday so that they can skip his rotation spot for a day and he'll pitch the next.
  18. The White Sox marketing is dreadful, mostly because their most popular choice in marketing is attacking the Cubs. I don't like the idea of admitting that your brand is less popular to attract people to your side.
  19. Not that it matters because we have to play catchup with them, but we only have 8 more series with teams with a winning record, 7 of them at home.
  20. Or it could be 5
  21. Looks like the Brewers are going to win..what a shame, back to 6.5 back.
  22. Brewers are really starting to get it together lately. If they go on any sort of run that resembles their start to the season, you can kiss the division goodbye.
