Cubs trade Barrett and cash to the Padres for Bowen and a low-A outfielder who was drafted in the supplemental round of last year's draft. No word on if Bowen is our new starting catcher, or if this means Soto will be called up to be the starting catcher. The best part was when the rumored trade was Barrett and EPatt for Bowen and Linebrink. Everyone was going insane.

Bowen's numbers do not look terrible this year, but its a really small sample size. .268/.371/.439 2 HR 11 RBI in 82 ABs

There was a rumor on another Cubs board that its Bowen and Linebrink for Barrett and Eric Patterson. If so, this is a terrible trade.

Its so weird having the DH in the lineup. I lose all sense of positioning as to which part of the order we are in.
