  1. Runner on second, no body out (just wait)
  2. http://www.vivisect.org/choke/choke_full.gif haha jk...i think?
  3. Hmmm, another great start against a scrubballer
  4. Dusty Baker got plastic surgery to look exactly like Lou. then he kidnapped and killed Lou and took over his identity, immediately divulging his plans to ESPN radio. So that would explain why our SS is back in the 2 hole
  5. BTW, anyone hoping for more Soto, I heard on ESPN 1000 about 25 minutes ago that Kendall would be getting pretty much all of the starts the rest of the season.
  6. Did the Dolphins play there when the '85 Bears lost their one game too? I believe so
  7. Anyone else hate the fact that this ballpark is not only the place where the Cubs burned the first of their 3 chances to clinch a WS bearth in 2003, but it is the site of last season's Super Bowl
  8. Soto has a Cardinals jersey with the name Molina on the back of it. He's starting in Milwaukee tonight. Cards will win 29 to -6. So he's only playing 3 innings for them tonight?
  9. But as a part of Ankiel's punishment for being caught with HGH and because Bud Selig has it out for the Cubs and wants to help the Brewers, Selig mandates that the game must play a tenth inning and that Ankiel has to pitch for the Cardinals. Ankiel throws 19 consecutive wild pitches as the Brewers win 18-17. Dammit, I turned off gameday and missed that.
  10. I assume by 2 K you mean 2 HR correct?
  11. Please. That's just impossible. They have lost like 24 in a row when he has appeared in a game, including his last 21 starts
  12. Until Geovany Soto punched him in the stomach and made him puke it back up. Geovany Soto. geovany soto is the new chuck norris SOTO Soto is better than Norris. Geovany Soto, Chuck Norris and Andres Nocioni once sparred for 13 days to determine who was the most badass person of all time. Unfortunately, the fight ended in a 3 way draw
  13. Chris Capuano was brought in to face Edmonds, a lefty. The Cardinals score 16 consecutive runs as the curse of Cappy continues. Cardinals win 17-14.
  14. Plus if Peavy goes on Sunday, it would be on 3 days rest. Here is how Peavy did on 3 days rest earlier this month: 4IP 7H 8ER 3BB 4K. Also don't forget to mention that the Padres lost 2 offensive starters Milton Bradley and Mike Cameron this week and that the Brewers are 49-27 at home. Also please mention that the Padres play a night game on the West Coast before flying to Milwaukee for Thursday's game. I fully expect the Brewers to take 3/4. The Cubs will need to go 3-2 the rest of the season to win the division outright.
  15. Magic number is 4 right now. The best it could be is 2
  16. Wasn't it 7 games left? It was 1.5 with 9 games left. We lost the last 2 to the Mets, 3/4 to the Reds and the first 2 to the Braves. We also had a 1 game lead with as little as 6 games left. The reason it was such a huge collapse is because we were playing bad teams like the Mets and Reds (at home) and the Braves, who already had a playoff spot locked up. We assumed that the Cubs would just steamroll those guys with our clearly talented team. One thing that certainly sucked is that the Braves had it out for us for beating them in the NLDS last year and took pleasure in knocking us out. What we also didn't count on is the Astros, who were 2.5 games behind us with 9 to play would win out and make the playoffs. That is why this current situation worries me. Anyways, yesterday was 03 talk, today 04. Gonna stop before the bad vibes move in.
  17. I had a terrible feeling yesterday morning about the Cubs, and now I have a great feeling this morning. Good sign.
  18. Truthfully, Peavy on 3 days rest (he gave up 8ER in 4IP when he did it earlier this month), Young (0-3 7.00 ERA in September, 0-2 5.68 ERA in August), and Maddux (fly ball pitcher) don't really excite me in this series. Don't pin your hopes on those guys.
  19. Villenueva has been pitching his butt off this month. I have a feeling he comes back down to earth tonight. The Cubs of last year fielded worse lineups than the Cardinals and won
  20. Updated if the Brewers end up winning tonight: Cubs record...to tie...to win 0-5...2-3...3-2 1-4...3-2...4-1 2-3...4-1...5-0 3-2...5-0...N/A 4-1...N/A...N/A 5-0...N/A...N/A
  21. You know you'll ask that again in the post season. . If we make it.
